<br />"..-' <br /> <br />"""''''' <br /> <br />A PROPOSAL TO THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH: Public Safety Master Planning <br /> <br />Role of City and Police Department in Project <br /> <br />It is understood that the City and Police Department will: <br /> <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br /> <br />Provide all requested information that is available; <br />Assign a designate from the City to work with CBI for development of the plans; <br />Apply for CALEA accreditation in early December 2002 with the application fee to <br />receive the CALEA ASAP software for development of the standards; <br />Assign a member of the police department full time to the accreditation program and <br />designate a police supervisor to coordinate with CBI staff for preparation of the <br />policy manual and directives related to CALEA standards (an accreditation manager <br />is required for accreditation); <br />Assist in setting meetings with city personnel, developers, and other stakeholders; <br />Provide suitable work space within City Hall to conduct interviews and review <br />City/Police Department records; <br />Review policies, procedures and directives as developed by CBI in a timely manner; <br />Train police members on policies, procedures and CALEA directives (may require <br />refocus of current training initiatives); and, <br />Complete the accreditation process~ to include relevant documents to show proof of <br />compliance (CALEA software-ASAP, ISSR reports) and a mock assessment, once <br />CBI has completed the orientation assistance and develop files with draft standards. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />5. <br />6. <br /> <br />7. <br />8. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />I. em.' .,no'" & .._,.....", <br /> <br />14 <br />
