<br />The Honorable City Commission <br />May 15,2008 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />service the employee will receive 16 days of vacation, 17 days of vacation at the 1 ih year <br />of service, and so on, until the maximum of 20 vacation days per year is being accrued. <br /> <br />.:. Elimination of Three (3) Additional Floating Days at Five years of Service for <br />Exempt/Department Heads. New hire exempt/department head employees will receive <br />a maximum benefit of seven (7) floating days. This represents five (5) floating days for <br />the position and the two (2) floating days that all employees receive. We have eliminated <br />the three (3) additional floating holidays that exempt/department heads are currently <br />provided after 5 years of service for new hire exempt/department head employees. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION <br /> <br />As promised, Chief Maas and I will initiate a review of all of our benefits for sworn police <br />personnel in two years (2010). <br /> <br />The changes are attached hereto. However, please bring the personnel manual that was <br />distributed to you for the March meeting.
