City Manager-Service <br /> <br />May 1, 2008 <br /> <br />Benchmark Cities Benefits Survey Results <br /> <br />At your request, a benchmark cities survey of key economic impact benefits was conducted and a <br />comparative analysis done. The benchmark cities surveyed were the combined benchmark cities <br />used in the Mercer classification plan review and in the Police Compensation Fact Finding review <br />which are as follows: <br />. Aventura <br />. Bal Harbour <br />. HallandaIe Beach (Broward County) <br />. Key Biscayne <br />. North Miami Beach <br />. Pinecrest <br />. Surfside <br /> <br />Initially, a four-page questionnaire was both mailed and emailed to the benchmark cities (see <br />Attachment 1) and follow-up phone calls made. The following key economic benefit items were <br />targeted: <br />. Annual Vacation <br />. Personal Days/Floating Holidays <br />. Paid Holidays <br />. Sick Leave <br />. Retirement <br />. Health/Dental Insurance <br />. Comp / Flex Time <br />. Tuition Reimbursement <br />. LTD/ ADD/Life Insurance <br />
