Proposal No, 03-4 I 97,1 <br /> <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br /> <br />Sunny Isles Beach - 172nd Street Epicure <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />1. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. will perform the following services based on <br />our understanding of the project requirements: <br /> <br />I. Professional Landscape Architecture Services <br /> <br />A. The addition of the proposed 10 foot FPL easement will be located within a <br />few feet of the existing trees adjacent to the Condo buildings on the South <br />side of 172nd. Due to the trenching required to place the electrical conduit <br />underground the roots of these existing trees will likely be damaged and <br />therefore presents a liability for the City if these trees are left in place. <br />These services include the development of drawings for the removal of <br />these trees. <br /> <br />B. Due to removal of these trees, per the City code, these trees require a tree <br />removal permit and mitigation. This proposal included the addition of trees <br />for mitigation purposes to be situated at the location of the existing trees. <br /> <br />C. Provide a planting design to be approved by the City for the planter to the <br />South of the proposed Epicure building located between the right of way <br />walk and the walk on the South edge of the Epicure structure. <br /> <br />D. Coordination with City staff, CGA and the Epicure contractor to provide <br />the planting, and irrigation for the planting area noted above. <br /> <br />E. Eight hours of site meetings have been included in this scope. If additional <br />time is necessary to address these issues, the time shall be billed at the <br />hourly rate agreed to by the City. <br /> <br />F. This scope includes the planting design for the North edge of the right of <br />way on 172nd Street for a 10 foot strip on private property adjacent to the <br />right of way. <br />
