It is geared toward students in grades 2 - 5. <br /> <br />· Florida Municipal Officials' Manual- Available online, on DVD or in print. <br />This manual is intended as a reference on common topics of municipal government for <br />use by elected and appointed municipal officials. However, this information also can be <br />used by others interested in learning more about Florida municipal governments. <br /> <br />· "Getting to Know Your Florida Cities" Training - On DVD, text of the DVD chapters <br />available online. <br />This training tool was developed to help citizens, the media, civic organizations, schools <br />and others learn more about municipal governments in the Sunshine State. <br /> <br />· A Guide for Creating a Citizens' Academy - Available online or in print. <br />Citizens' academies are an excellent way to educate residents, build positive relationships <br />and increase communication between city government officials and citizens, as well as <br />inspire future municipal leaders. Several Florida cities' programs are reviewed. <br /> <br />· A Guide for Creating a City Youth Council- Available online or in print. <br />Youth councils, usually composed of high school students, serve as an advisory board to the <br />city commission/council. While many Florida cities already have youth councils, this docu- <br />ment was created to serve as a "road map" for others wanting to start a similar program. <br />
