Manufacturer's certificate of fertilizer's chemical composition <br />including but not limited to percentage and derivation of nitrogen, <br />phosphorus, potassium, and micro-nutrients. <br /> <br />3. Manufacturer's certification and/or testing laboratory certification <br />that content of soil conditioners meet specification requirements. <br /> <br />C. Soil Samples: <br />1. Submit a one-pound sample of each soil mix specified. <br /> <br />1.05 JOB CONDITIONS <br /> <br />A. Contractor shall become familiar with the site and the required work to <br />complete this section in accordance with the drawings and what is <br />specified herein. <br /> <br />B. Responsibility for fine gradiflg shall occur under a separate contract. Any <br />changes, modifications, or disturbances to the fine grading shall be <br />corrected by the responsible contractor. <br /> <br />C. PROTECTION: Protect and avoid any damage whatsoever to existing <br />walks, pavement, curbs, utilities, plant material, and any other existing <br />work. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 TOP SOIL <br /> <br />A. Topsoil shall be a 80-20 mix, 80% fresh water sand (medium to coarse <br />grade) and 20% inland glades muck thoroughly mixed with a commercial <br />shredder/blender or equivalent., It shall be suitable for ornamental plant <br />growth and free from hard clods, stiff clay, hardpan, gravel, subsoil, brush, <br />large roots, refuse or other deleterious material, and of reasonably <br />uniform quality. No site mixing will be acceptable. 6 inches of topsoil <br />depth shall be required throughout. <br /> <br />B. Mechanical analysis: Topsoil and soil mixture(s) shall meet these <br />specifications and the following mechanical analysis, and shall be <br />proportioned by volume rather than by weight. <br /> <br />Sieve Size <br /> <br />% Passing By Dry Weight <br /> <br />1 inch <br />1/4 inch <br />No. 100 <br /> <br />99-100 <br />97 -99 <br />40-60 <br /> <br />Materials larger than one-half inch shall be disposed of off the site or as <br />directed by the architect.
