<br />CANOPY SIGN - A sign hanging underneath a pedestrian shelter canopy in a multitenant <br />center. <br /> <br />CHANGEABLE COPY SIGN - A sign displaying messages that can is, or is intended to be, <br />changed electronically, or by use of removable letters and numerals. <br /> <br />CHANNEL LETTER SIGN - A sign using three dimensional letters, numbers or logos with a <br />groove, or other indentation or recess in the surface having an independent physical existence <br />from the building or other structure to which it is attached. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER - The City Manager of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida or persons <br />designated by the City Manager to interpret, administer, and enforce this chapter. <br /> <br />COMMUNITY SERVICE SIGN/SPECIAL EVENT SIGN - Any temporary sign, which <br />advertises solely a function or event of a nonprofit organization, civic event or meeting, or other <br />similar activity of a temporary nature. <br /> <br />CONSTRUCTION SIGN - A sign containing information relating to improvements to an <br />existing building or to new construction such as the project name, names of a general contractor, <br />architect, engineer or similar firm. <br /> <br />CORNER LOCATION - Any freestanding building located adjacent to the intersection of two <br />public streets. <br /> <br />DETACHED/FREESTANDING SIGN - Any sign that is not attached to or painted on a <br />building, but that is affixed to a supporting structure that is attached to the ground by a concrete <br />or permanent foundation. Such signs include monument signs. SlieR sigHS eo Ilat iaelooe pale <br />sigHS lIRa pylall siglls. <br /> <br />DEVELOPMENT IDENTIFICATION SIGN - A sign installed on a building or around the <br />perimeter of a residential development or neighborhood identifying the name of that building, <br />development, or neighborhood. <br /> <br />DIRECTIONAL/INSTITUTIONAL SIGN - A sign that guides or directs the public and <br />contains no advertising.
