Also, an <br />inner member (1.66" 0.0.) that runs continuous from top <br />rail to floor. For additional rigidity a schedule 40 (1.32" <br />O.D.) galvanized steel pipe runs continuous from top rail to <br />bottom of core hole. <br /> <br />515-6.4 Load Information: The railing shall be built to withstand a force of 100 <br />Ibs per linear foot applied in any direction at the top and such that is will <br />resist a load of not less than 200 Ibs applied in any direction at any point <br />of the rail. The railing shall be built to also withstand a force of 800 Ibs <br />applied evenly in any direction at the top of an 8 foot sections. <br /> <br />515-6.4.1 <br /> <br />515-6.4.2 <br /> <br />515-6.4.3 <br /> <br />Picket (intermediate post), when applicable, is the same <br />material as above rails, but at schedule 80 thickness. Pickets <br />are spaced such that no opening will pass a 6" sphere in <br />accordance with Standard Building Code. Alternatively, <br />pickets may be spaced such that no opening will pass a 4" <br />sphere in accordance with South Florida Building Code. <br /> <br />Toe Plate, when applicable, is 4" high, also made of High <br />Impact Vinyl Plastic fastened to posts, per manufacturer's <br />specifications using all stainless steel screws, bolts or other <br />fasteners. <br /> <br />All railing shall meet OSHA, ADA and BOCA codes <br />requiring a continuous, smooth, gripping surface where no <br />point on the rail is greater than 2.0" a.D. <br /> <br />515-6.5 Color: As selected by Broward County Public Works Department. <br /> <br />515-6.6 Style: As selected from manufacture's standard styles. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
