<br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH- RFa NO. 10-04-02 FOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Ahmed Alvarez, AlA, LEED AP Project Manager <br /> <br />Mr. Alvarez has extensive experience as project manager for a multitude of project types. <br />Throughout his 30+ years of experience he has been involved in projects ranging from <br />affordable housing and commercial development to multi-story hi-rise residential buildings. He <br />has excelled in the area of architectural design and production as well as environmental design <br />and contract administration. A registered architect in the State of Florida, he has extensive <br />project management experience in continuing service contracts for a wide range of project <br />types including mixed-use projects and municipal facilities. His specific experience working with <br />the municipalities is an asset to this team. He has built and established successful professional <br />relationships within the South Florida regulating agencies and is familiar with the zoning and <br />building department requirements, and can assist in the expedition of the permit process. With <br />his knowledge of construction management issues and his ability to manage multiple projects <br />and multi disciplined teams, Mr. Alvarez is also particularly adept at keeping projects on schedule <br />and maintaining momentum to ensure that the project reaches completion. One of the key tools <br />that the firm employs in order to produce reliable sets of documents for pricing and construction <br />is a weekly progress meeting with the owner and consultants during the schematic and design <br />development phases. This allows the close monitoring of deliverables to ensure adherence to the <br />schedule and expedition of the decision-making process. Mr. Alvarez will introduce a construction <br />manager in the very early stages of the project to provide the team with the necessary input <br />related to costs in order to maintain the quality of the design and remain within the parameters <br />of the budget. He knows how to work with public entities in a timely and effective manner while <br />responding to demanding deadlines. <br /> <br />Alex Perez, GCC, LEED' AP Project Architect <br /> <br />Alex Perez has extensive experience with parks projects and municipal facilities, particularly with <br />phased development projects. With over 10 years of experience, he has been involved in a variety <br />of projects as a project architect, project manager, and most recently, construction administrator. <br />He has managed all phases of design and construction projects from planning and programming <br />to construction supervision for a variety of clients, including the School Districts of Miami-Dade, <br />Broward, Palm Beach and Collier Counties, Florida Atlantic University, Miami-Dade County <br />and the City of Miami. He is currently providing Construction Administration services for the <br />a City of Miami Continuing contract and has previous continuing contracts experience with the <br />City of Miami, New York City, San Diego, California and Washington DC. Mr. Perez is also an <br />adjunct professor at Miami-Dade College teaching topics such as architectural design, computer <br />aided design, drafting, animation, structural design and construction sciences. <br /> <br />Steven Guthrie. U BCI, LEED AP Director of Construction Administration <br /> <br />Mr. Guthrie, with more than 26 years of experience, has been involved in all phases of construction <br />project management and construction administration for a variety of clients, including the <br />City of Miami, the School Districts of Palm Beach, Miami-Dade, and Broward Counties, the <br />University of Arkansas, and Nova Southeastern University. His experience encompasses a wide <br />variety of project types including banking institutions, federal government projects, fire station, <br />civil infrastructure projects, residential, commercial facilities, and transportation facilities. Mr. <br />Guthrie's involvement in the design phases of the work ensures that the completed design contains <br />all the elements to minimize delays when construction documents are issued. He is currently <br />providing construction administration services on the continuing contract with the School District <br />of Palm Beach County. Mr. Guthrie's experience also includes the monitoring of structural steel, <br />architectural site excavation, civil, and concrete; rebar fabrication and installation; mechanical. <br />electrical and plumbing installations; and on-site supervision encompassing shop drawing <br />review, evaluation of change orders and payment requisitions, quality control and verification <br />for compliance with the contract documents and specifications. <br /> <br />ZYSCOVICH <br />ARCHITECTS <br />
