Contract <br />ACAI has been selected to provide professional services <br />related to a continuing contract for miscellaneous <br />architectural services. This contract shall include the <br />following services as authorized by individual task orders <br />for individual projects: Design of architectural projects to <br />help ease backlog of work assigned to City staff; ADA <br />analysis and design modifications for ADA compliance at <br />City facilities; Space studies for City facilities; Building <br />analysis with respect to maintenance and repair of existing <br />facilities; Design of Capital Improvement Programs (CIP) <br />projects; Review of plans and specifications for <br />conformance to City and other standards; Architectural <br />analysis and reports and construction observation. <br />Contact: Rick Andrews <br />Tel: 954.828.4357 <br /> <br />City of Ft. Lauderdale FXE Airport Air Rescue Fire <br />FiQhtinQ Facility & EmerQency Operations Center <br />Phase I of this project ~ <br />contained the Airport's <br />Administration Complex, <br />including the City's Police <br />Substation. Phase II is the Air <br />Rescue Fire Fighting Facility <br />(ARFF). The ARFF is a <br />consolidation of the city's multiple Fire Fighting activities <br />under one roof. Housed in 24,000 sq. ft. of space the <br />facility includes apparatus area, the City's west <br />Emergency Operations Center, and Fire and Rescue <br />Training Facilities. <br /> <br /> <br />The two story structure contains fire department related <br />offices, kitchen facilities, and sleeping quarters for 12 <br />firefighters. The facility has been designed to handle <br />airport runway emergencies as well as landside and City <br />fire emergencies and is serviced by an emergency <br />generator to prevent any disruption of service to the <br />community. <br />Contact: Fernando Blanco PE <br />Tel: 954.828.6536 <br /> <br />Broward County Hurricane Wilma Open End Repairs <br />In the aftermath of Hurricane Wilma, the County made <br />emergency selections of three design professionals in <br />order to aid in the rebuilding process of numerous <br />buildings damaged due to the hurricane. ACAI was <br />selected and has been contracted to assist with damage <br />assessment and full design services to many County <br />Facilities. Currently ACAI has completed damage work at <br />the following County Facilities: BSO Jail, BSO Stockade, <br />Vinnette Carrol Theaters, North Broward Detention <br />Center, and 19th Street Mental Health Facilities. <br />Contact: Martha Bauer <br />Tel: 954.357.5647 <br /> <br />Broward County ADA Bus Stop Compliance <br />ACAI was selected under this contract to bring the <br />Broward County Mass Transit program into ADA <br />compliance. This turnkey project involved over 5,000 bus <br />stop locations and included Planning, Prioritizing Design. <br />Post-Design and Construction Management services. Airport <br />As part of the Owner's <br />representative Team, ACAI was <br />very involved in the Airport <br />Expansion Program at the Fort <br />Laud./Hollywood Int. Airport. <br />ACAI was responsible for <br />developing cost loaded <br />schedules, monitoring and approving monthly construction <br />progress, conducting civil inspections, developing master <br />schedule update procedures, and revising scheduling <br />specifications for all new construction projects at the Fort <br />Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Involvement <br />included participation in the following projects and <br />initiatives: Concourse A; Rental Car Center; Exit <br />Roadways; Long Term Sanitary Sewer, Pedestrian <br />Bridges; Taxiway C and Westside Infrastructure and <br />Utilities Relocation. <br />Contact: Adolfo J.
