<br />FDOT DesiQn/Build Sunpass Plazas
<br />This project entails the Design/Build reconstruction and
<br />expansion of existing ramp toll plazas for express lanes as
<br />a prototypical modernization of the statewide Toll
<br />Collection System. The new prototype includes a three-
<br />dimensional iconized gateway gantry arch, along with
<br />highly stylized metal accented roof structures. The project
<br />scope consists of removing asphalt and concrete
<br />pavement, installation of landscape, roadway
<br />reconstruction and installation of collection gantries and
<br />other associated equipment and features. This project is
<br />being completed under the Florida Turnpike Enterprise
<br />Program and is being constructed in phases in order to
<br />minimize traffic inconveniences.
