CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH I PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES COMPANY PROFILE The Miami firm of Architeknics, Inc. is a privately held, Women-Owned Minority Company that was incorporated in 1978 with Edward C. Berounsky and Ramon G. Perez-Alonso as principals. In 1981, Lourdes Rodriguez joined the firm and became a principal in 1991. Architeknics, Inc. has been responsible for a variety of projects within the South Florida Community. The fact that there are 3 registered principal architects has allowed the firm to always provide our clients with a professional leader for all projects. Architeknics, Inc. is an experienced firm that has been performing work in all areas of the building industry in South Florida. The major portion of the firm's work has been in the new construction, remodeling and renovation of Educational Buildings (K-12 and higher education) and Governmental Facilities including Historic Preservation and Restoration as well as Re-Roofing and ADA Compliance. The remainder of the firm's work has been evenly distributed between light industrial, residential. multi-family, institutional, commercial, and space planning. The firm is united in the belief that innovative design is the result of an understanding of client goals, building type, context. and budget, and the synthesis of these issues by principal-level architects with proven design abilities. This philosophy allows us to produce award-winning projects and earn the respect of our clients, resulting in many long-term relationships. We combine decades of experience with today's technology in order to offer the most comprehensive execution of any size project within the South Florida Community. TEAM LEADERSHIP Lourdes Rodriguez, AlA I Principal-in-Charge Ms. Rodriguez started her tenure with Architeknics, Inc. as a Junior Architect and elevated her responsibilities to become Principal-in-Charge over the course of her 27 years of service to the firm. Currently, as the leader of the office, she is charged with establishing the firm's goals and objectives that will maintain the level of service to the clients that are required to complete successful projects. Her chief responsibility is the administration of the firm's Public Sector Projects and more exclusively Educational and Government Projects. Since 1990, she has been managing or co-managing projects with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, School Board of Broward County, Monroe County School Board and the City of Miami Beach. She has participated in all aspects of the design and construction phases and has developed a keen sense for practicing in a pro-active role in helping lead the project team through the construction process under any time or budget restriction. Ms. Rodriguez was recently certified by the State of California as a Safety Assessment Responder to assist any local and/or state governments immediately after any disaster. Edward Berounsky, R.A. I Vice-President Mr. Berounsky is a co-founder of Architeknics, Inc. He supervises all staff production. He is a treasured leader of the firm for his practical & technical aptitude, which is applied to developing quality architectural detailing. He draws on his breadth of experience to serve as the leader of research and site investigation. In addition he is the firm's most seasoned Architect, capable of providing solutions to construction problems efficiently and effectively.
