The renovation of the <br />premises will include new concrete pathways. A new environmentally friendly infrastructure will be designed to <br />provide the park and pool with an improvement for the quality of life and experience for all attendees. Both <br />wet and covered playgrounds will be built for young children. The existing concession facility is to be <br />demolished and replaced with a 1.500 Sq. Ft. concession building. Bathroom and Lifeguard facilities are to <br />include men's and women's toilet rooms, dressing areas, storage, and first aid area with accessible unisex toilet <br />room. The existing natural pool will undergo great enhancements to include sand resurfacing of area of Pool. <br />elimination of existing culvert by creating a canal thus allowing the pool to use the tidal action to cleanse itself. <br />and the installation of an Aeration fountain which will also serve as a play feature. Ft. <br /> <br /> <br />Miami-Dade County Public Schools <br />Victor Alonso, Project Manager <br />305.995.4502 <br /> <br />The project at Young Men's Preparatory Academy was a multi-phase project that involved the renovation, <br />remodeling, and restoration of an existing historic structure as well as the new construction of a new state of- <br />the-art building after the demolition of two severely damaged buildings. The architectural process began with <br />field investigations. When the conditions field study was completed, research was conducted to select the best <br />products for replacing the windows and HV AC units as well as materials for interior and exterior refurbishments. <br /> <br />The scope of work for this phase of the project included the demolition of two existing buildings and the design <br />and construction of one two-story building to replace and update the functions of the previous two which <br />resided on the site.
