Anthony Koehler, has accumulated <br />almost 15 years of experience designing public <br />and community facilities. A talented, resourceful <br />designer well-regarded for his problem-solving skills <br />and resourceful approach to complex or challenging <br />design briefs, he is particularly proficient at developing <br />expressive design concepts. Mr. Koehler is multi- <br />faceted, employing a variety of media and conceptual <br />tools to explore design options, and developing a <br />clear design direction for each project. The entire project, from <br />design through construction was completed on time in <br />just 26 months. <br /> <br />MDCPS - Special Projects Consultant Contract, <br />Multiple Locations, Miami FL <br />Mr. Koehler was the Lead Designer for this contract which <br />included the design and construction administration for <br />several free-standing covered shelters at Michael Krop <br />Senior High School, Norwood Elementary and Parkway <br />Elementary schools. <br /> <br />MDC - Environmental Signage Program, Multiple <br />Locations, Miami FL <br />Mr. Koehler is the Lead Designer for Miami-Dade <br />College's new environmental and wayfinding signage <br />system across all existing campuses. The new signage <br />system will comply with all applicable codes and provide <br />a uniform, "branded" approach for all campus buildings. <br />The program includes the development of design <br />standards for internal vehicular and pedestrian signage, <br />directional and identification signage, directories, and <br />access symbol signs. <br /> <br />*MDC North Campus Buildings 2000, 7000 & <br />8000, Miami, FL <br />As the Job Captain on this project, Mr. Koehler performed <br />a complete exterior remediation of the Library Building <br />for the Miami-Dade College North Campus. The scope <br />of work included the restoration of all pre-cast concrete <br />panels, sealant, joints, and windows caulking. In addition, <br />the existing SBS modified built-up roof was replaced <br />with a new single-ply system. All rooftop equipment was <br />raised, and building expansion joints were replaced in <br />conjunction with the reproofing. <br /> <br />Kohl's Office Interior Project, New York, NY <br />Mr. Koehler is the Design Director leading SBLM's <br />design of the new Kohl's headquarters in Manhattan. <br />Mr. Koehler analyzed, programmed and provided space <br />planning for the sprawling new space, which occupies <br />40,000 square-feet on two floors of a commercial <br />building. The design revolves around the idea of 10 <br />"design pods" each of which functions as an autonomous <br />unit, but which are open enough to encourage inter-pod <br />communication and innovative thinking. The project is on <br />schedule to be completed June 2010. <br /> <br />Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY <br />Mr. Koehler is the Design Director for two projects at <br />Interfaith Medical Center.
