LLP, as the Auditor for the <br />City Pursuant to Section 218.391, Florida Statutes <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached Resolution selecting Keefe, <br />McCullough & Co. LLC, as the Auditor for the City providing that a competitive contract is <br />negotiated by the City Manager or designee and providing that the contract is reviewed for legal <br />sufficiency by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />Per Florida State Statutes, the City is required to have an annual audit of its accounts and records <br />performed by an independent Certified Public Accountant. The City completed its most recent <br />independent audit agreement for a term of five years with Marcum Rachlin and was in a position <br />to rebid for audit services. <br /> <br />Pursuant to Section 218.391, Florida Statutes, the City prepared RFP No. 10-06-01 which <br />included detailed criteria for the evaluation of proposals and for the ranking of firms. The City <br />advertised the availability of the RFP in the Miami Herald on June 10, 2010. In addition, a <br />solicitation package was made available from www.demandstar.com. An option pre-proposal <br />conference was held on June 17,2010 to answer questions of prospective proposers. <br /> <br />On July 13,2010, the City received six proposals.
