<br />EXPERIENCE:
<br />As the Director of Civil Works, Inc., Mr. Soares has more than seventeen years
<br />of transportation and civil engineering experience in the management, design
<br />and preparation of engineering projects including airports, highways, and transit
<br />with signalization, drainage, water and sewer expertise. He has prepared plans
<br />to FOOT, Miami-Dade, Broward and Orange County standards. Some of his
<br />transportation experience includes:
<br />
<br />SR 834 - Sample Road, from 54 Avenue to Tradewaind Park Road,
<br />FDOT D4 (2007 to 2010) Prime Design Consultant: CWI. Project Manager
<br />for the 6-lane, 1.5-mile, divided roadway with milling and resurfacing,
<br />including highway widening at NW 543 Avenue, signalization at four
<br />intersections, pedestrian ramps, bus stop upgrades, minor drainage and
<br />landscaping improvements.
<br />SR 808 (Glades Road) from Boca Rio Road to West of Renaissance
<br />Way for FDOT D4 (2007-2009) Prime Design Consultant: URS Corp.,
<br />CWI provided the Signal and Lighting Services - This widening, milling and
<br />resurfacing project included a Lighting Justification Report, the generation of
<br />a Signal Replacement Evaluation Matrix, and Signal Plans. Mr. Soares was a
<br />Project Engineer and designed portions of the Signal and Lighting.
<br />SR 916 - NW 135 Street (from NW 2 Avenue to US 1) for FDOT D6-
<br />Project Engineer for 5-lane 2.6-mile, undivided roadway milling and
<br />resurfacing project including highway lighting.
<br />Okeechobee Road (SR 25) from Krome Avenue to the Homestead
<br />Extension to the Florida Turnpike for FDOT D6 - Project Engineer
<br />responsible for the design and preparation of construction plans for five miles
<br />of 4-lane divided highway, lighting, signing and pavement marking, traffic
<br />control plans, two concrete acceleration lanes, intersection improvements and
<br />drainage improvements.
<br />Belen Drainage Improvements for Miami Dade County D ERM (2002-
<br />2006) - Design Consultant: CWI - Mr. Soares was the Project Manager and
<br />Engineer of Record responsible for the drainage report, design, and preparation
<br />of construction documents forthis 1.5 square mile drainage basin in West Dade.
<br />The report modeled 23 drainage basins using ICPR3. The plans included
<br />exfiltration trench design and two large high speed pump stations with outfalls
<br />to the Tamiami Canal and SFWMD permitting.
<br />SR 874 Killian Exchange for MDX (2005-2007) Design Consultant:
<br />CTE. CWI provided the Signalization and Traffic Analysis Reports. Project
<br />Engineer for the signal design, and traffic analysis around the Miami Dade
<br />College, SW 112 Street and the SR 874 off-ramps at SW 107 Avenue.
<br />FDOT Districtwide Miscelleaneous Design Contract for District 6 -
<br />(2001-2007) - Design Consultant: CWI - Mr. Soares was a Project Manager
<br />and Senior Design Engineer on more than 103 R projects including districtwide
<br />attenuator replacement (30 total) (2002-2003), signalized intersection
<br />improvements at Brickell and SE 13th Street (2001-2002), SR-90/S W 8th Street
<br />and 13 Avenue (2003-2004) and SR-860 (Miami Gardens Drive) and NW 79th
<br />Avenue, RRR projects for SR-976 (Bird Rd) from U.S. I to Ponce de Leon
