She has been itwoked \vith the geotechnical
aspects of Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installations
at se,"eralnuclear plants. She was also inwlked in the
detailed geotechnical im"estigation and design criteria
de\"elopment for the North Area of the Central
Artery/Tunnel Project. A summary of her \vork
includes static and dynamic settlement analyses, bearing
capacity analyses, slope stability, liquefaction analyses,
sheetpile and soil anchor design, drilled pier design,
oversight of field activities including borings, earthwork,
piles, and drilled pier installation. She has also prepared
specifications for the geotechnical aspects of many
cons truction projects.

Relevant Experience
04/1978 - Present, Geotechnical
Engineer, Shaw Environmental &
Infrastructure, Inc.
Responsibilities include planning and overseeing
subsurface investigations, including determination of
laboratory testing program and appropriate engineering
analyses. Preparation of construction documents
including geotechnical reports, specifications, and input
to design drawings. Oversight of field activities
including drilling programs, earthwork, and installation

SHAW ENVIRONMENTAL. INC.

06C122006T

of deep foundations including piles, sheet piles, and
drilled piers.

The following is a summary of key projects:
Lead Geotechnical Engineer, Mercury Control
Project, Mercer Generating Station, PSEG Fossil
LLC, Hamilton Township, NJ, 10/2006 - Present.
Design and construction of Mercury Control facilities (2
units) at the Mercer Generating Station in Hamilton
Township, NJ. Borings were completed by TRC and the
laboratory testing was directed by l\[s. l\lcCo)'. Design
of foundations, which \V.ill consist of concrete-filled pipe
piles, \vill be directed by 1\[s. 1\ IcCoy.

Lead Geotechnical Engineer, Chesterfield
Emissions Enhancement, Dominion Energy,
Chester, Virginia, 09/2005 - Present. Took m"er
position as Lead Geotechnical Engineer. Designed l\vo
sheetpiling retaining walls for limestone and gypsum
storage as part of the flue gas desulfurization process.
Performed geotechnical calculations of bearing capacit~.
and settlement for large foundations. Assisted
construction with exca,"ation and backfilling issues.
Directed the preparation of design calculations,
drawings, and specifications for drilled piers to be
installed on a steep hill to support the flue gas ducts.

Geotechnical Engineer, Wilson Hill Wildlife
Management Area Improvements, St. Lawrence -
FDR Power Project, New York Power Authority,
Massena, NY (WHWMA and Nichols Island),
07/2004 - Present. The WH\'\"l\L\ is an existing
complex of earthen dikes which form se'"eral pools
bel\veen the southern shoreline of Lake St. La\vrence,
Wilson Hill, and Bradford Islands. The \'\'HWtvL-\
includes approximately 1,800 acres of wetlands and open
\vater habitats that are managed by the New York State
Department of Environmental Conservation. NYr A is
required to refurbish the dikes and existing water control
structures, and to install one new dike and se,"eral new
water control stnlctures. A subsurface investigation
program was developed by 1\[s. 1\lcCoy in order to
provide the data necessary to e\"aluate the condition of
the existing dikes and foundation conditions for the new
dike. The program consisted of borings, cone
penetrometer testing, field falling head tests, field vane
shear tests, and laboratory testing. Engineering analyses
included slope stability, bearing capacity and settlement

JANICE WRIGHT MCCOY
