<br />police, fire department, FE~L-\, town officials and other
<br />emergency personnel. The Peabody EO F was designed
<br />and built incorporating it into an existing police
<br />department building, with radiation hardening added.
<br />New Fire and Police Station facilities were designed for
<br />the towns of Salisbury and Newbury. Additional
<br />facilities were also designed for various town halls and
<br />schools to shelter and feed the population surrounding
<br />the power plant in case of an e\'acuation or a natural
<br />disaster. Farouk worked with other agency and
<br />stakeholder to de\'elop emergency e\'acuation plans. He
<br />participated with regulatory personnel, local emergency
<br />response organizations, FEMA, and the public in
<br />hearings on EOF development and emergency
<br />e\'acuation planning.

<br />City, Panama (Torre Miramar Building). ~Ir.
<br />Youssef responsible for the architectural design,
<br />coordinating and interface with various engineering and
<br />security disciplines. Preparation of design documents
<br />(drawings, specifications, reports, etc.) design, included
<br />space planning, security upgrades and new emergency
<br />e\'acuation stair\vays for a 16-story office building used
<br />by ,-\merican Embassy personnel. Design included new
<br />perimeter barriers to provide increased standoff
<br />distances; a new emergency e\'acuation stairwell,
<br />rein forcing parking garages agains t a ttack, balconies
<br />protection, improved windows, and forced entry
<br />resistant doors.

<br />t\Ir. Youssef was in charge of the relocation of ISO
<br />facility into the Torre ~liramar including design,
<br />coordination with all other disciplines
<br />
<br />American Consulate, Office of Foreign Building
<br />Operations, Department of State (DOS), Panama
<br />City, Panama. t\Ir. Youssef designed, coordinated
<br />\'arious engineering disciplines and oversaw the
<br />construction of the ,\merican Consulate in Panama City.
<br />Work included floor plans, the hardening of the building
<br />and numerous security improvements. Emergency
<br />evacuation routes, shelters that can stand attack for few
<br />hours until help arrives, security monitoring, perimeter
<br />protection, and other improvements.

<br />River Protection Project, Hanford, WA" (DOE).
<br />~Ir. Youssef conducted a due diligence review of "The
<br />River Protection Project, Hanford, \,(!A". The project
<br />il1\'oh-ed the protection of the water\vay from
<br />radiological impact from contaminated sites and
<br />facilities. He re\.iewed the project design and
<br />procedures, including emergency preparedness plans.

<br />Aberdeen Chemical Agent Disposal Facilities,
<br />Edgewood, MD (DOD) and Newport Chemical
<br />Agent Disposal Facilities, Newport, IN (DOD). t\Ir.
<br />Youssef designed buildings for the
<br />treatment/destruction of chemical warfare agents at
<br />both I\berdeen and Newport facilities. He coordinated
<br />work, \vhich included the design of e\'acuation
<br />capabilities, safety systems, fire protection,
<br />communications systems, alarms, and intrusion
<br />pre\'ention and detection.

<br />(DOD). Mr. Youssef designed buildings for the
<br />treatment/ destruction of the explosi\'e RDX. He
<br />coordinated \vork, \V'hich included the design of
<br />e\'acuation capabilities, safety systems, tu-e protection,
<br />communications systems, alarms, and intrusion
<br />pre\'ention and detection.

<br />Massport Authority, Logan Airport Computer
<br />Room, Security Access Upgrade, Boston, MA. t\[r.
<br />Youssef designed the security upgrade of the Logan
<br />I\irport. Shaw sen'ices included engineering, design, and
<br />specifications of an access control system including a
<br />centralized computer, multiple operator stations,
<br />multiplexed fiber-optic communications, card readers,
<br />and associated hardware. The s\'stem controls access to
<br />the airs ide operations areas from fi\'e passenger
<br />terminals and a general aviation terminal. The design
<br />incorporated control devices for the doors and gates,
<br />including emergency evacuation exits compatible with
<br />security and fire marshal standards. The scope of
<br />sen.ices also included continuing support to meet F,-\[\
<br />access control requirements.
