BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (tnctude scope, size, and cost)

Laurel Lockett, Esq

813-229-4139

Environmental Issues: As part of ongoing activities at this vacant facility, Shaw
has performed several tasks including Source Removal, Supplemental Assessment
Plan and Reporting and QAPP; soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water
sampling and analyses; surveying; and transportation and disposal of contaminated soils and investigation derived wastes.
Additionally, Shaw has identified an offsite source of contamination with considerable data supporting this position whose
property owner is sharing in the ongoing SA and remedial measures. During this project, Shaw has provided expert opinion in
meetings with the current property owner, attorneys, and local/state regulatory authorities and public regarding the progress to
date. Shaw has worked successfully with the owner and regulatory officials to establish the Brownfield Site Rehabilitation
Agreement (BSRA) for this site - the first in Hillsborough County and receive $100,000 grant monies to complete the SA.

Location: Industrial area on the east side of Tampa. The 8.13-acre site is position
on a dead end road off of US 301, north of Highway 60 in Tampa, Florida.

Site History: The site is the former location of a Landia Chemical facility which
process, packaged and distributed agricultural chemicals. In the late 80's, following
the acquisition of the property by WRB Enterprises, drums and bags containing
pesticide products were discovered. Following discovery WRB Enterprises has
proactively recovered identified pesticide sources and continued site assessment
and remedial measures in conjunction with the approved programs of the FDEP
and the EPA.

.

Be Sure to Notice
· Developed an EPA Approved QAPP
· Assisted with the development of the BSRA
· Successful application and receipt of EPA
grant monies
· Shaw maintained FDEP/EPA Approved
Contractor Status
· Designed and performed innovative
remedial measures
· Familiarity in working with County
Brownfield Programs

The assessment and remedial technologies have involved Organochlorine Pesticide Compounds. Inherent to these compounds
is a very low detection and cleanup standards imposed by the FDEP. Shaw has successful designed an assessment approach to
accurate evaluate the OCP impact. Part of the approach was a though evaluation of the aquifer characteristic in an effort to
achieved the FDEP "Low Yield Criteria" and thereby raise the applicable cleanup target level which will result in potential Natural
Attenuation/No Further Action status or reduced remediation time and costs.

Strategy: WRB Enterprise has designed a property reuse plan consisting of the removal of the existing warehouse building,
performing a limited Source Removal and the construction of an industrial park for truck access/material distribution. It is
anticipated that EPA available remediation grant monies will be available as well as remediation mitigation credits to reduce
remediation (Source Removal) costs.

The design takes into account the environmental concerns with the application of engineering controls to prevent the
exacerbation of residual OCP compounds, allowing the maximum safe-guard to the community with lower overall development
costs.

a.

1 FIRM NAME
Shaw Environmental, Inc.

25.
