A. All conduit shall be Schedule 40 PVC. Burial depth as shown on the drawings. <br />' 2.03 CONDUCTORS <br />A. Conductors shall be copper. Power circuits shall have 600 volt PVC insulation <br />(Underwriters' approved Type THWN). Conductors shall be color coded in <br />accordance with the NEC. <br />2.04 PANELBOARDS <br />A. Rating <br />1 09/03 16050 -6 03- 4138.A -R <br />1. <br />Panelboard ratings shall be as shown on the Drawings. All panelboards <br />shall be rated for the intended voltage. <br />1 <br />B. Standards <br />1. <br />Panelboards shall be in accordance with the Underwriter Laboratories, <br />Inc. "Standard for Panelboards" and "Standard for Cabinets and Boxes" <br />and shall be so labeled where procedures exist. Panelboards shall also <br />comply with NEMA Standard for Panelboards and the NEC. <br />C. Construction (NEMA 4XSS) <br />1. <br />All interiors shall be completely factor assembled with circuit breakers, <br />wire connectors, etc. All wire connectors, except screw terminals, shall <br />be of the anti -turn solderless type and all shall be suitable for copper or <br />aluminum wire of the sizes indicated. <br />2. <br />Interiors shall be so designed that circuit breakers can be replaced <br />' <br />without disturbing adjacent units and without removing the main bus <br />connectors and shall be so designed that circuits may be changed <br />without machining, drilling or tapping. <br />3. <br />Branch circuits shall be arranged using double row construction except <br />when narrow column panels are indicated. Branch circuits shall be <br />numbered by the manufacturer. <br />' <br />4. <br />A nameplate shall be provided listing panel type, number of circuit <br />breakers and ratings. <br />' <br />5. <br />Bus bars for the mains shall be of copper. Full size neutral bars shall be <br />included. Bus bar taps for panels with single pole branches shall be <br />arranged for sequence phasing of the branch circuit devices. Bussing <br />' <br />shall be braced throughout to conform to industry standard practice <br />1 09/03 16050 -6 03- 4138.A -R <br />
