A. All conduit shall be Schedule 40 PVC. Burial depth as shown on the drawings. ' 2.03 CONDUCTORS A. Conductors shall be copper. Power circuits shall have 600 volt PVC insulation (Underwriters' approved Type THWN). Conductors shall be color coded in accordance with the NEC. 2.04 PANELBOARDS A. Rating 1 09/03 16050 -6 03- 4138.A -R 1. Panelboard ratings shall be as shown on the Drawings. All panelboards shall be rated for the intended voltage. 1 B. Standards 1. Panelboards shall be in accordance with the Underwriter Laboratories, Inc. "Standard for Panelboards" and "Standard for Cabinets and Boxes" and shall be so labeled where procedures exist. Panelboards shall also comply with NEMA Standard for Panelboards and the NEC. C. Construction (NEMA 4XSS) 1. All interiors shall be completely factor assembled with circuit breakers, wire connectors, etc. All wire connectors, except screw terminals, shall be of the anti -turn solderless type and all shall be suitable for copper or aluminum wire of the sizes indicated. 2. Interiors shall be so designed that circuit breakers can be replaced ' without disturbing adjacent units and without removing the main bus connectors and shall be so designed that circuits may be changed without machining, drilling or tapping. 3. Branch circuits shall be arranged using double row construction except when narrow column panels are indicated. Branch circuits shall be numbered by the manufacturer. ' 4. A nameplate shall be provided listing panel type, number of circuit breakers and ratings. ' 5. Bus bars for the mains shall be of copper. Full size neutral bars shall be included. Bus bar taps for panels with single pole branches shall be arranged for sequence phasing of the branch circuit devices.
