SECTION 16200 <br />JACK AND BORE <br />IPART 1 -GENERAL <br />' 1.01 SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. Work included in this section consists of furnishing all equipment, <br />materials and labor required for the installation of complete jack and bore <br />casings, and all appurtenances as specified on the drawings and <br />specifications for the Florida Department of Transportation. <br />1.02 GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES <br />I A. All work shall conform to the applicable standards of the Florida <br />Department of Transportation. <br />1 1.03 SUBMITTALS <br />A. The Contractor shall submit shop drawings of all casings, pipe, pipe <br />fittings to be used for construction of jacking and boring. <br />1.04 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br />A. Measurement and payment will be based upon work completed and <br />accepted in accordance with the plans and specifications. No separate <br />payment will be made for excavation, trenching, backfilling, leakage tests <br />or other incidental items of work not authorized by the Engineer, in <br />writing, as extra work. <br />1.05 GUARANTEE <br />A. The Contractor shall guarantee all materials and equipment furnished and <br />installed, and all work performed for a period of one (1) year from the <br />date of substantial completion. The guarantee shall stipulate that the <br />completed system is free from all defects due to faulty materials or <br />workmanship and the Contractor shall promptly make such corrections as <br />may be necessary by reason of such defects including the repairs of any <br />damage to other parts of the system resulting from such defects. <br />1.06 MANUFACTURER S RECOMMENDATIONS <br />09/03 <br />16200 -1 <br />03- 1438.A -R <br />
