Has investigated the proposed Product and determined that it <br />is equal to or superior in all respects to that specified <br />b. Will provide the same warranties or bonds for the substitution <br />as for the Product specified <br />C. Will coordinate the installation of an accepted substitution into <br />the Work, and make such other changes as may be required <br />to make the Work complete in all respects <br />d. Waives all claims for additional costs, under his responsibility, <br />which may subsequently become apparent. <br />D. The Engineer will review requests for substitutions with reasonable <br />promptness, and notify Contractor, in writhing, of the decision to accept or <br />reject the requested substitution. <br />1.08 SPECIAL TOOLS <br />A. Manufacturers of equipment and machinery shall furnish any special tools <br />(including grease guns or other lubricating devices) required for normal <br />adjustment, operations and maintenance, together with instructions for their <br />use. The Contractor shall preserve and deliver to the Owner these tools <br />and instructions in good order no later than upon completion of the <br />Contract. <br />1.09 STORAGE AND HANDLING OF EQUIPMENT ON SITE <br />A. Because of the long period allowed for construction, special attention shall <br />be given to the storage and handling of equipment on site. As a minimum, <br />the procedure outlined below shall be followed: <br />1. Equipment shall not be shipped until approved by the Engineer. The <br />intent of this requirement is to reduce on -site storage time prior to <br />installation and /or operation. Under no circumstances shall <br />equipment be delivered to the site more than one month prior to <br />installation without written authorization from the Engineer unless it is <br />to be stored as specified in Paragraph 1.06 herein upon arrival. <br />2. All equipment having moving parts such as gears, electric motors, <br />etc. and /or instruments shall be stored in a temperature and humidity <br />controlled building approved by the Engineer, until such time as the <br />equipment is to be installed. <br />3. All equipment shall be stored fully lubricated with oil, grease, etc. <br />unless otherwise instructed by the manufacturer. <br />4. Manufacturer's storage instructions shall be carefully studied by the <br />Contractor and reviewed with the Engineer by him. These <br />instructions shall be carefully followed and a written record of this <br />kept by the Contractor. <br />5.
