Contractor's authorized representative. No Record Documents will be <br />accepted from Subcontractors. <br />D. Submit completed Record Documents to the Engineer prior to or in <br />conjunction with request for Substantial Completion. Prior to final <br />payment, revise Record Documents to show additional information, <br />construction and changes and resubmit to the Engineer. <br />1.09 TESTING <br />A. The Contractor shall obtain the services of a professional testing <br />laboratory approved by the Engineer to perform the following type of tests <br />and test frequencies. Copies of all reports are to be sent to the Engineer <br />as soon as possible. <br />B. Density tests for trench backfill at the rate of three tests per lift in 1,000 <br />feet of trench. <br />C. Density tests for subgrade compaction at the rate of three tests in 1,000 <br />feet of roadway. <br />D. Density tests for limerock base at the rate of three tests per day on each <br />course of completed compacted base. <br />E. Density tests for roadway crossings at the rate of one test per lane per lift <br />of compacted material, beginning one foot above the normal water table. <br />F. If in the opinion of the Engineer, suitable compaction has not been <br />achieved around structures, density tests may be required. <br />G. Concrete compressive strength at the rate of three cylinders per the lesser <br />of 50 cubic yards or per day. <br />H. Should the above test results indicate deficiencies, the Engineer may <br />order additional tests at the Contractor's expense, and all reworked areas <br />shall be retested at the Contractor's expense. <br />I.
