E. All cut and fill slopes shall be uniformly dressed to the slope, cross section and alignment <br />shown on the Drawings, or as directed by the Engineer to prevent ponding water on <br />driveways, walkways or against structures. <br />F. During grading, protect all buried valved extensions and covers, sprinklers and any other <br />mechanical or structural object protruding from below grade. <br />3.05 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL <br />A. Contractor will engage soil testing and inspection service for quality control testing during <br />earthwork operations. <br />B. Allow testing service to inspect and approve subgrades and fill layers before further <br />construction work is performed. <br />C. If in opinion of Engineer, based on testing service reports and inspection, subgrade or fills <br />that have been placed below specified density, provide additional compaction and testing <br />at no additional expense to Owner. <br />3.06 CLEANING AND PROTECTION <br />A. Protect newly graded areas from traffic and erosion. Keep free of trash and debris. <br />B. Repair and re- establish grades in settled, eroded, and rutted areas to specified tolerances. <br />C. Remove excess excavated and waste materials, including unacceptable excavated material, <br />trash and debris, and legally dispose of it off Owner's property. <br />END OF SECTION <br />12/04 02200 -6 04 -4801 <br />
