'1 <br />SECTION 02484 <br />SOIL PREPARATION AND SOIL MIXES <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. Provide all labor, materials, necessary equipment and services to complete the soil <br />preparation and soil mixes work, as indicated on the drawings, as specified herein or <br />both, except as for items specifically indicated as "NIC ITEMS ". <br />B. Section 02481 - Shrub and Tree Relocation <br />C. Section 02487 - Sodding <br />D. Section 02490 - Trees, Plants, and Groundcover <br />QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Testing Agency: Independent testing laboratory <br />B. Requirements or Regulatory Agencies: Conform to requirements of all City, County and <br />State agencies. <br />C. Reference standards. <br />SUBMITTALS: <br />A. Test Reports: Test reports shall consist of pH range, major and minor element analysis, <br />soluble salt concentrations, and recommendations. Reports shall be identified by project <br />name, date, and soil mix type. <br />1. Results of topsoil (on -site existing soil) analysis. <br />2. Results of planting soil mix(es) analysis: One test required per each type of soil <br />mix (note: pH ranges for plant type). <br />B. Certificates: <br />1. The Contractor must submit certificates from suppliers stating that the topsoil <br />mix, sod and other landscape material used comply with requirements specified. <br />12/04 02484 -1 04 -4801 <br />
