City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />Bid No. 05 -10 -01 - Central Island Drainage and Street Improvements <br />ADDENDUM 2 <br />QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS FROM PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS DURING THE PRE - <br />BID CONFERENCES OF OCTUBER 26 AND NOVEMBER 17 2005. <br />1. Is there a construction budget for the project? <br />YES. The estimated budget for the project is 53.8 Million, including a 10% contingency for <br />the use of the City. <br />2. Is there any special type of bedding for the pipe required, any piles, Styrofoam, geo -type fabric? <br />YES. The answer is in the plans. <br />3. The maintenance of traffic and the sequencing of the project construction, it is in three phases as <br />he understands.? <br />YES. Those are guidelines for MOT. The contractor could submit his own maintenance of <br />traffic and sequence of work plan. <br />4. The times for construction? <br />There is a City Ordinance for hours of operation, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 <br />p.m.; Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and no work on Sundays and legal holidays. <br />5. The documents show 27 wells but sheet 40 indicates only 25, and he said he submitted it in <br />writing [e- mail]? <br />25 wells is the correct number. Use this number in your proposal. <br />6. FDEP State Permit for drainage wells, has that been pulled, and if not who is responsible for <br />pulling it? <br />The construction permit will be obtained by the Contractor the City will assist with the <br />documentation to obtain the permits. See Division II, Special Provisions, Section 7 of the <br />Contract Documents and Specifications. <br />7. Also with the State FDEP, they have a new requirement of a reasonable insurance report, which <br />is basically telling them how deep we are going to put our casing and they have to approve that <br />
