It doesn't state anything about the casing thickness, I am assuming the standard 3/8" is okay? <br />Use the standard FDOT approved casing thickness. <br />10. As far as the permits by the contractors are concerned, what are the different agencies that we <br />have to get permits from? <br />Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM) and the Florida Department <br />of Environmental Protection (DEP). <br />11. Are we required to get permits from the City, the Public Works Department? <br />Yes. From the City of Sunny Isles Beach Building Department but there is no fee. <br />12. What is the estimated start date for the project? <br />Expected starting date is the end of March or early in April 2006. <br />13. What is the average casing depth on the well? <br />It is in shown on the plans. That is FDOT standard. The minimum well depth of 100 feet or <br />1,000 GPM inflow capacity. However due to possible FDEP change in requirements, Bidders <br />shall base their unit price for each well with fifty feet (50') of casing. Should FDEP require <br />additional length of casing, Contractor will be compensated for additional linear feet of casing <br />only. Depth of well shall be sufficient to accommodate 1000 GPM inflow capacity. <br />14. If the well is 100 feet and the casing is 100 feet where are you going to get the water to drain? <br />See well detail in sheet 40 <br />15 Will the site be truck ready or will we have to improve the sites? <br />Site is 100% accessible.
