� I <br />� I <br />K. Galvanizing Provide for steel components in exterior construction, and where <br />noted to be galvanized. Complete the shop fabrication prior to application of <br />the zinc coating. Remove mill scale and rust, clean and pickle the units as <br />required for proper pretreatment of the surfaces. (Not Applicable) <br />L. Removeability <br />As an aspect of "Hurricane Readiness," and modularity, all sign posts must <br />slide into a concealed "female" post and secured with a cotter pin assembly. <br />See drawing for specifics but note that this must be underground and out of <br />public eyesight. <br />1 2.03 Shop Application of Sign Finishes (see section 201 -J) <br />' A. Paint Finishes <br />Clean the surfaces as required for proper adhesion of coatings and <br />chemically treat as recommended by paint Fabricator to remove deleterious <br />' film or residue. <br />2.04 Artwork <br />' A. Unless noted, assume that Designer will supply electronic files for each sign <br />type. It will be the responsibility of the Fabricator to layout the sign type in <br />drawing form and present to the Designer /Client for approval. <br />B. Letter and word spacing shall follow the format established by electronic file <br />examples. <br />C. All artwork and text to be produced by digital or mechanical means, to the <br />standard of typical artwork provided. <br />' D. All artwork remains the property of the Designer and shall be returned to <br />the Designer immediately after the completion of fabrication. <br />' 2.05 Application of Graphics <br />A. Silk screened /Frisket Images and Typography Provide photo processed <br />screening, arranged to furnish sharp and solid images without edge buildup or <br />bleeding of the coating. Pattern cut screens may be used for non - repeat copy, <br />provided that final image copy is equal to photo screen quality. Provide only <br />' weather resistant coating materials, compatible with the intended substrates. <br />B. Computer -cut Vinyl and Pattern -Cut Graphics (Not Applicable) Use pressure <br />' sensitive, non - yellowing, non - peeling and weather resistant vinyl adhesive <br />letters or images computer cut from high quality vinyl as manufactured by 3M <br />02/06 7 03-4122.E <br />
