'h <br />MILLEREGG <br />Jose L. Acosta, PE <br />Project Manager <br />Professional Experience: <br />Mr. Acosta joined Miller Legg in 1999. As <br />a Project Manager for the firm, he is <br />responsible for the design and permitting <br />of selected engineering projects; <br />planning, developing and coordinating <br />engineering documents; project drafting; <br />and coordination of construction <br />observation. Design responsibilities <br />include paving, grading and drainage, <br />water management, and water and <br />sewer. He also is an Associate of the <br />fi rm. <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br />Sunny Isles Beach Active Park - A <br />2.5 -acre active park site, for which Miller <br />Legg managed landscape architecture, <br />irrigation, engineering, surveying and <br />architecture designs for a baseball field, <br />recreation building, playground <br />structure, multi - purpose court and <br />related site amenities within the City. <br />The project management team at Miller <br />Legg received recognition from the City <br />for their involvement in the design <br />completion of the Park. <br />Plantation Parks Wetlands Project <br />- This project is to create wetland <br />mitigation areas within two sites within <br />the community of Plantation Acres. <br />These mitigation areas combined will <br />serve as a Consolidated Off -Site <br />Mitigation Area to compensate for future <br />impacts to all remaining wetlands present <br />within ± 28 undeveloped parcels in <br />Plantation Acres. The two subject sites <br />are the 45 -acre Volunteer Park site <br />located at the southwest corner of <br />Sunrise Boulevard and NW 1 18th <br />Avenue, and the 28 -acre Broward <br />County School Board site located at the <br />northeast corner of NW 121 st Avenue <br />and NW 1 12th Street. Environmental <br />services provided included: mapping of <br />jurisdictional wetlands within the <br />mitigation site and ± 28 impact sites, <br />functional evaluations of wetlands within <br />the mitigation site and 28 impact sites, <br />mitigation calculations, design of <br />consolidated mitigation area, permitting <br />of wetland impacts and consolidated <br />mitigation area through DPEP and <br />ACOE, and development of credit <br />distribution mechanism for the City of <br />Plantation. <br />Boulevard Square - A 30 -acre <br />commercial development in Pembroke <br />Pines. Services provided included: <br />planning, surveying, landscape <br />architecture and irrigation design, <br />lighting, engineering design and <br />permitting, off -site roadway design, and <br />construction services. Award: Broward <br />Beautiful, First Place in Shopping Centers, <br />Broward County, 2002 <br />City of Plantation's SW 70 Avenue - <br />Miller Legg served as liaison between the <br />City and the Florida Department of <br />Transportation regarding design of the <br />roadway plans in Microstation to meet <br />the FDOT's requirements. This roadway <br />project is part of the Broward <br />Boulevard /FDOT expansion project in <br />Plantation. <br />Linear Park at Weston Town <br />Center - This 30 -acre mixed -use <br />project included retail, office, residential <br />and future governmental services. Other <br />key elements for Weston Town Center <br />include a lakefront linear park with band <br />shell and an interactive fountain. The <br />design process for this project included <br />the preparation of Master Design <br />Guidelines for the entire project and all <br />the varied uses. In addition, this <br />pedestrian oriented "soul" of the City of <br />Weston included a highly central retail <br />area with themed landscaping, specialty <br />paving design, site furniture, and <br />irrigation. Award: Broward Beautiful Second <br />Place for Large Commercial Establishment, <br />Broward County, 2004 <br />Miramar Parkway Revitalization - This <br />redevelopment and streetscape project <br />includes a 1.5 mile 2 -block urban section of <br />the Miramar Parkway corridor adjacent to <br />SR 7 1US 441. Miller Legg is handling <br />designing the landscape and irrigation <br />
