'h MILLEREGG Jose L. Acosta, PE Project Manager Professional Experience: Mr. Acosta joined Miller Legg in 1999. As a Project Manager for the firm, he is responsible for the design and permitting of selected engineering projects; planning, developing and coordinating engineering documents; project drafting; and coordination of construction observation. Design responsibilities include paving, grading and drainage, water management, and water and sewer. He also is an Associate of the fi rm. Relevant Project Experience: Sunny Isles Beach Active Park - A 2.5 -acre active park site, for which Miller Legg managed landscape architecture, irrigation, engineering, surveying and architecture designs for a baseball field, recreation building, playground structure, multi - purpose court and related site amenities within the City. The project management team at Miller Legg received recognition from the City for their involvement in the design completion of the Park. Plantation Parks Wetlands Project - This project is to create wetland mitigation areas within two sites within the community of Plantation Acres. These mitigation areas combined will serve as a Consolidated Off -Site Mitigation Area to compensate for future impacts to all remaining wetlands present within ± 28 undeveloped parcels in Plantation Acres. The two subject sites are the 45 -acre Volunteer Park site located at the southwest corner of Sunrise Boulevard and NW 1 18th Avenue, and the 28 -acre Broward County School Board site located at the northeast corner of NW 121 st Avenue and NW 1 12th Street. Environmental services provided included: mapping of jurisdictional wetlands within the mitigation site and ± 28 impact sites, functional evaluations of wetlands within the mitigation site and 28 impact sites, mitigation calculations, design of consolidated mitigation area, permitting of wetland impacts and consolidated mitigation area through DPEP and ACOE, and development of credit distribution mechanism for the City of Plantation. Boulevard Square - A 30 -acre commercial development in Pembroke Pines. Services provided included: planning, surveying, landscape architecture and irrigation design, lighting, engineering design and permitting, off -site roadway design, and construction services. Award: Broward Beautiful, First Place in Shopping Centers, Broward County, 2002 City of Plantation's SW 70 Avenue - Miller Legg served as liaison between the City and the Florida Department of Transportation regarding design of the roadway plans in Microstation to meet the FDOT's requirements. This roadway project is part of the Broward Boulevard /FDOT expansion project in Plantation. Linear Park at Weston Town Center - This 30 -acre mixed -use project included retail, office, residential and future governmental services. Other key elements for Weston Town Center include a lakefront linear park with band shell and an interactive fountain. The design process for this project included the preparation of Master Design Guidelines for the entire project and all the varied uses. In addition, this pedestrian oriented "soul" of the City of Weston included a highly central retail area with themed landscaping, specialty paving design, site furniture, and irrigation. Award: Broward Beautiful Second Place for Large Commercial Establishment, Broward County, 2004 Miramar Parkway Revitalization - This redevelopment and streetscape project includes a 1.5 mile 2 -block urban section of the Miramar Parkway corridor adjacent to SR 7 1US 441.
