When more than one (1) satellite controller is used, the white <br />common wire for each controller shall be color -coded with <br />waterproof electrical tape or wire with tracer stripe. <br />2.13 GATE VALVES <br />A. Gate valves shall be a threaded brass - series valve. These shall conform <br />' to AWWA C -500, bronze -body, bronze - mounted, non - rising stem with <br />solid -wedge gates, installed in valve box. All gate valve boxes shall be <br />installed flush with finish grade. The IC shall assure percolation beneath <br />' the gate valve box by approved methods. Gate valves shall be installed <br />inside valve boxes, as previously specified, and as detailed on the <br />drawings. <br />2.14 POINT OF CONNECTION <br />A. Point of connection for the irrigation system shall be as shown on the <br />plans. The IC shall connect proposed irrigation mainlines and extend the <br />mainlines, as required, providing a watertight connection by approved <br />' methods. <br />PART 3 — EXECUTION <br />3.01 PREPARATION <br />' <br />A. <br />Layout of Mains and Laterals: The IC shall lay out sprinkler mainlines and <br />perform line adjustments and site modifications to laterals prior to <br />excavation. <br />B. <br />The IC shall coordinate all installation with landscape lantin work, <br />P 9 <br />especially fine grading, and soil preparation for planting areas. <br />C. <br />The IC shall coordinate and cooperate with all other ICs to enable the <br />' <br />work to proceed as rapidly and efficiently as possible. <br />D. <br />Layout of Sprinkler Heads: The IC shall stakesprinkler head locations <br />Y p p <br />Iand <br />check for uniformity of coverage and correctness of pattern. <br />E. <br />Valve Location: The IC shall locate valves to assure ease of access for <br />maintenance and that no physical interference with other elements of the <br />project exist. <br />' <br />F. <br />The IC shall furnish temporary support, adequate protection, and <br />maintenance of all underground and surface utilities, structures, drains, <br />sewers, and other obstructions encountered in the progress of the work. <br />1 <br />07/06 <br />02810 -15 05 -5564 <br />
