f'. <br />r11. <br />Backfill to elevations matching adjacent grades, at the time of <br />backfilling excavations for electrical work. Where subsidence is <br />measurable or observable at electrical work excavations during the <br />warranty period, remove the surface (pavement, lawn or other <br />finish) add backfill material, compact, and replace the surface <br />treatment. Restore the appearance, quality and condition of the <br />surface or finish to match adjacent work, and eliminate evidence of <br />restoration to the greatest extent possible. <br />12. Where excavation and backfill for electrical work passes through or <br />occurs in a landscaped area, repair or replace the landscape work <br />' <br />to match the original condition and quality of work. <br />13. Where excavation and backfill for electrical work passes through or <br />occurs in an area of paving or flooring, replace and restore the <br />construction and finish of the paving or flooring to match the <br />original condition and quality of the work. <br />G. Underground <br />1. Underground conduits not under concrete slabs, shall be buried at <br />least two feet below finished grade for circuits rated 600 volts or <br />less, except under traffic areas, conduits shall be buried at least <br />three feet below finished grade. <br />2. Where steel conduit penetrates ground or concrete, the conduit <br />shall be painted with two coats of asphaltic base paint one foot on <br />each side of penetration. <br />3. Transition from PVC to RGS shall be made. prior to elbow below <br />grade. Paint RGS with bitumastic, 12 inches above and below <br />grade. <br />3.08 CONCRETE MANHOLES AND PULL BOXES <br />A. Provide precast concrete manholes and pull boxes as indicated on the <br />drawings. Manholes and pull boxes shall be installed on firmly compacted <br />ground, level and plumb at the elevations indicated on the drawings. <br />Manholes and pull boxes shall be equipped with pulling irons opposite and <br />below each ductway entrance. Manholes and pull boxes shall have cable <br />supports so that each cable is supported at a minimum of 3 foot intervals <br />within the manhole or pull box. Cable supports shall be fastened with <br />galvanized bolts and shall be fabricated of fiberglass or galvanized steel. <br />Make provision for drainage and grounding.
