Lens frames shall be supported so as to avoid sagging, and shall be <br />readily removable or suitably hinged and latched. Removable frames <br />shall have adequate means of retention for use when servicing. <br />D. Incandescent Type Luminaires and Accessories: Incandescent lamps <br />shall have a rating of 120 or 115 -125 volts unless specified otherwise, <br />shall be frosted inside except where clear is specified and shall conform to <br />Spec. W -L -101, as manufactured by General Electric, or Sylvania. <br />Lampholders (sockets) shall conform to Spec. W -L -142 and shall be <br />intermediate base unless indicated or specified otherwise. <br />E. Fluorescent Type Luminaires and Accessories: Fluorescent Lamps shall <br />be hot - cathode, rapid start, cool white type unless indicated or specified <br />otherwise. The fluorescent lamps shall conform to Spec. W -L -116, and <br />shall be suitable for operation with the ballasts to which they are <br />connected. Fluorescent lamps shall be as manufactured by General <br />Electric, or Sylvania. Fluorescent general purpose luminaires shall <br />conform to Federal Specifications W -F -414, and shall be commercial type <br />unless indicated otherwise. <br />F. Plastic lenses shall be made of heat - resistant methyl - methacrylate and <br />the lenses shall be injection molded unless indicated otherwise. Provide a <br />fuse holder and fuse in the primary side of each ungrounded conductor in <br />all ballasts, factory installed. <br />G. Ballasts shall be UL listed, Class P, high power factor and CBM certified <br />by ETL. Multiple lamp ballasts shall operate lamps out of phase with each <br />other. <br />H. Ballasts shall conform to Federal Specification W -B -30 and shall be as <br />manufactured by one of the following: General Electric, Jefferson, <br />Universal, or Advance. <br />Fluorescent ballasts shall be U.L. Listed, Class P, high power factor and <br />CBM certified by ETL. Multiple lamp ballasts shall operate lamps out of <br />phase with each other. Ballasts conform to Federal Specification W -B -30 <br />and shall be as manufactured by one of the following: General Electric, <br />Universal, or Advance. <br />J. High Intensity discharge type luminaires shall be U.L. Listed, of the size, <br />type and rating indicated, complete with, but not necessarily limited to <br />housings, lamps, lamp holders, reflectors, ballasts, starters, and wiring. <br />K. Ballasts for H.I.D. luminaires shall be of the rating, type, and make as <br />recommended by the lamp manufacturer that properly match the lamps to <br />16500 -2 06 -5564 <br />
