RFQ# 16-12-01 | Professional Planning and Zoning Consulting ServicesSunny Isles Beach <br />Robert Collins, AICP <br />Principal PlannerMr. Collins is a certified Planner with over 20 years of experience in Planning. He has extensive experience working in many facets of a public planning department including managing and reviewing current planning projects; land development, permit and zoning review; developing and administering comprehensive plans and amendments; and managing and coordinating multifaceted community revitalization and conservation plans and projects. He is experienced in land development, site plan and zoning review; community outreach; citizen interaction, coordination and mediation; and physical improvement project implementation and management. Mr. Collins holds a Master in Public Administration, Management, from George Washington University. <br />Richard D. Cannone, AICP <br />Planning Administrator Richard Cannone, a Planning Administrator at Calvin, Giordano & Associates, assists the Department in representing various municipal clients of CGA by reviewing applications, preparing staff reports and attending meetings for current planning activities, including development applications such as rezoning, site plan and plat review, special exception, conditional use, annexation studies and design guidelines, development and management of implementation strategies, development of Targeted Area Plans including linkages to economic development and capital improvements Development of mixed use land use and development regulations and the creation of overlay and special overlay districts. When required, Mr. Cannone will be support project management, scheduling and budgeting. <br />PROJECT EXPERIENCE CGA's comprehensive planning, zoning, and engineering services is extensive and supports several municipalities throughout Florida, including Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. <br />Land Development Planning Services - Town <br />of Surfside: CGA was selected to provide land development plan review services for the Town. CGA met this challenge by providing planning personnel that were knowledgeable about Town and County Codes and local inter-agency coordination. The entire CGA multi-disciplinary team serves as an available resource.CGA planning staff is available to the public during all regular working hours and attends Town and all necessary inter-local government meetings. CGA planning staff reviews and processes commercial and residential development projects; reviewed and processed all specialized planning functions such as variances, conditional uses, FLUM and zoning amendments as well as text amendments; prepares all necessary staff reports and CGA works closely with the Town administration, Code Compliance and Building Departments to provide seamless, efficient services to the community.CGA also prepared the Town’s EAR-based Amendments. The project included revised Comprehensive Plan Data Inventory and Analysis including current transportation data, population projections, and housing analysis. The revised Goals, Objectives, and Policies reflected Surfside’s interest in incorporating many of the concepts advanced in the November 2006 Townwide Charrette. Additionally, consideration was made to assure the Comprehensive Plan addressed improved transportation along Collins and Harding Avenue. <br />General Planning and Zoning Services - Town <br />of Medley: CGA staff was designated as the Town Planners; reviewing site plans and performing zoning permit reviews for all building permits; interacting with the public and town staff on a daily basis; performing all day-to-day planning and zoning activities required by the Town; as well as assisting the Town in the preparation of their Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. <br />General Planning Services - City of Weston: CGA has provided professional planning services to the City of Weston since its incorporation in 1996.
