<br />We are pleased to submit this letter of interest in response to the Request for Qualifications for Professional General
<br />Engineering Services for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. CES Consultants, Inc. ( 'ICES ") and its team member,
<br />Miller Legg, Inc. ( "MLI ") are local Miami -Dade County firms with the right mix of professionals, background
<br />knowledge, and past experience to excel in the execution of this project.
<br />1. Business Overview and Financial State of the Business
<br />CES is a minority-owned and operated firm established in 2001, to provide professional
<br />sengineering services to municipal and private- sector clients. CES personnel have been
<br />involved in some of the largest infrastructure improvement projects in South Florida since the
<br />• firm was established. The firm's senior staff brings over 100 years of combined experience in
<br />civil engineering, environmental engineering, construction management, and cost
<br />• engineering. CES has extensive technical expertise and capabilities to plan, design, and oversee construction of
<br />facilities and infrastructure projects to meet the client's needs.
<br />The principals of CES have worked for government agencies and have successfully participated in the planning,
<br />design and construction management of similar projects. Over the past six years, CES senior staff have participated
<br />in the design and construction management of similar roadway improvements projects, including the City of
<br />Miramar's Neighborhood Improvement Project, the City of Fort Lauderdale 2011 Project, and the City of
<br />Homestead Flagship Cinema Access Road. Most importantly, CES staff works closely with each client to make sure
<br />that its innovative and cost - saving solutions are tailored to meet their individual needs.
<br />In addition to the core staff and expertise we offer, the other member of the CES Team also bring considerable
<br />design and construction phase experience in the implementation of similar road improvement projects. The entire
<br />CES Team is very familiar with the local design standards, guidelines, and specifications. For the past five years,
<br />CES has been directly responsible for the design and construction oversight for new roadway improvements, gravity
<br />sewer and pumping stations improvements, drainage installation and roadway resurfacing under the guidance of
<br />Miami -Dade County staff, in strict compliance with County and FDOT standards and guidelines.
<br />`NN Miller Legg is a statewide award - winning consulting firm headquartered in
<br />MILLER EGG Pembroke Pines, Broward County, Florida. The fine brings together the elements
<br />• •�- -• ••• •. •— of engineering, planning, landscape architecture and urban design, surveying,
<br />environmental wetlands consulting, environmental risk management and G.I.S.
<br />services. Additionally, the firm has successfully completed several thousand private sector projects including
<br />residential developments from two to 7,000 acres, industrial and office sites, hotels and theme park facilities,
<br />marinas, golf courses, hospitals and medical office complexes, commercial properties, retail shopping centers and
<br />franchise properties.
<br />The firm has been involved with more than 50,000 acres of project design development in Florida. Their approach to
<br />each project is best characterized by a "Partnering Relationship ". They dedicate themselves to learning the culture of
