Project
CGA conducted an investigation and survey of the existing lift station, and evaluated the
mechanical, electrical, structural, and site aspects of the station in an effort to determine
• its operational capability and reliability. The design used the existing control panel and
SCADA system. The existing dry pit pumps were replaced with two new 500 -gpm, 20 -HP
submersible pumps. The existing steel dry pit was abandoned and a new concrete valve
• vault, discharge piping, new concrete pad, fencing and landscape were installed. The
existing wet well and receiving manhole were structurally rehabilitated. CGA also recently
completed design of the upgrades and rehabilitation projects for seven lift stations in
Lauderhill, and 12 lift stations in Hollywood.
0
S
Client
City of Miramar
Contact information
at time of project:
Kirk Hobson - Garcia, PE
Department of
Operational Services
6700 Miramar Parkway
Miramar, Florida 33023
954 964 2111
Project Date
2001
Project Value
$200,000
Services Provided
Engineering, Surveying,
Construction Management
Key Personnel
Karl Kennedy, PE
