V ANUS has prepared numerous documents associated with land <br />development issues, such as traffic impact studies and transportation impact fee analyses. As <br />part of these services, V ANUS has reviewed 10 traffic impact studies and several traffic impact fee credit <br />analyses submitted by developers. We <br />provided comments related to the appropriateness of the study to ensure the City that the analysis met all <br />of the conditions set forth by the approved methodology as well as the guidelines and procedures outlined <br />in the DRI process. V ANUS also worked with the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council (TBRPC) in <br />this review process. <br /> <br />Project: Polk County School Board Traffic Impact Studies <br />Contact: Richard Alderman, Polk County School Board <br />Phone: (863) 534-0611 <br />V ANUS was contracted by the Polk County School Board to prepare traffic impact analyses for the <br />proposed elementary and high school. These studies were prepared in accordance with Polk County's <br />Land Development Code and submitted to the County's Transportation Planning Organization for review <br />and approval. <br /> <br />Project: Escambia County Fair-share Mitigation Methodology <br />Contact: Larry Newsom, PE, Escambia County <br />Phone: (850) 595-3434 <br />V ANUS developed a fair-share transportation impact methodology plan for Escambia County as a means <br />to offset the capital costs associated with the roadway improvements related to development traffic. <br /> <br />SIGNAL SYSTEMS/INTELLLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS (ITS) <br /> <br />V ANUS has experience in all aspects of ITS, including the analysis, planning, and design of Advanced <br />Traffic Management Systems (A TMSs), Advanced Public Transportation Systems (APTSs), Video <br />Monitoring Systems (VMSs), and Freeway Management Systems (FMSs). V ANUS conducts an <br />inventory of existing systems, defines the current communication and system component architecture, and <br />determines compatibility among devices. The design incorporates the most cost-efficient deployment of <br />equipment while ensuring the maximum return on functionality and performance. <br /> <br />V ANUS also has extensive signal timing experience. As the leading developer of signal timing in the <br />State of Florida, V ANUS has developed and installed signal timing for hundreds of intersections using <br />different types of controllers.
