Two of the mast arm locations have signs on both sides of the mast arm. Communications <br />is through a cellular data modem installed in the pole-mounted cabinets. The DMSs are to be used for <br />notifying motorists of available parking at the beaches, alternate routes due to congestion, and/or <br />evacuation routes in the vicinity of the beaches. <br /> <br />Project: Pinellas County A TMS <br />Contact: Ken Jacobs, Pine lias County <br />Phone: (727) 464-3251 <br />V ANUS designed 5 DMS installations and 13 closed-circuit television (CCTV) installations for the <br />McMullen Booth Road corridor. The project also includes the design to upgrade 32 intersections to <br />adaptive signal control. V ANUS reviewed the current communications network layout for the <br />Countywide A TMS and made recommendations to provide a viable redundant network. V ANUS will <br />assist in device procurement for this project and in testing, integrating and evaluating devices and <br />software for the A TMS. <br /> <br />Project: SunNavsM ITS Incident Detection System <br />Contact: Paul Mannix, PE, PTOE, FDOT Turnpike Enterprise <br />Phone: (407) 532-3999 <br />V ANUS developed plans to install 200 miles of detection along the Florida Turnpike Mainline. A travel <br />time system was also designed for this section of roadway. <br /> <br />Project: iFIorida Statewide Corridor Monitoring Design-Build <br />Contact: Scott Silva, PE, FDOT District Five <br />Phone: (386) 943-5317 <br />V ANUS designed 28 traffic monitoring sites throughout the state. The sites included video monitoring <br />and vehicle detection.
