<br />highly urbanized area. Community Awareness and Access Management Plans were prepared.
<br />Additionally, the project included milling and resurfacing, median modifications, drainage
<br />improvements, ADA improvements, driveway reconstruction, signalization upgrades, new
<br />lighting installation and landscaping.

<br />McMahon Associates, Inc. was selected to provide general engineering consulting services to
<br />the city. McMahon Associates, Inc. services were primarily associated with the traffic
<br />engineering and traffic calming. These projects were issued on a task order as-needed basis,
<br />and facilitated the continual improvement of the city's capital improvement plans.

<br />Corridor improvements on SR 858 from U5-1 to Dixie Highway. The project included
<br />developing the Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation Report, Community Awareness
<br />Plan, and conceptual designs for the initial plan of work. The design included minor
<br />reconstruction, milling, and resurfacing, median modification, signalization upgrades, utility
<br />and lighting relocation, and landscaping. The intersection at US-1 and SR-858 required
<br />significant adjustments to the alignment along SR-858 to fix existing deficiencies.

<br />Corridor improvements on SR 858 from US-1 to Three Islands Boulevard. The project included
<br />the design and installation of new lighting system, milling and resurfacing, and eliminating
<br />existing encroachments within the horizontal clearance requirements for medians and border
<br />areas. McMahon enhanced traffic operations by upgrading all left-turn lanes to current design
<br />standards, coordinated access management issues with FDOT, evaluated the mid-block
<br />pedestrian crossings, upgraded signing, signalization, and pavement markings to meet current
<br />design standards. The technical duties McMahon performed for lighting involved designing,
<br />preparing construction plans, and writing specifications for roadway lighting improvements,
<br />including lighting calculations, pole locations, foundation design, as well as electrical circuit
<br />calculations and power supply and distribution design. Data collection, highway capacity
<br />software, synchro analysis, and corridor coordination were additionally performed.
