City of Sunny Isles Beach - Professional General EnaineerinQ Consultant <br />~.~.~ RFQ No: 07-07-01 Proposal Executive Summary <br />~~~ ~:::::~::::9 ~~. <br /> <br />SECTION 4 - QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE OF PROPOSED KEY PERSONNEL <br />A brief description of some of the key personnel that will be supporting Mr. Gil-Mera in this contract, <br />including their past work experience as it relates to their roles on this particular assignment is discussed <br />below. <br /> <br /> <br />Antonio G. Acosta, P.E., (A&P) - Principal -Mr. Acosta brings over 22 years of <br />experience in the Design of Highway Facilities. He spent the first thirteen years of his <br />career working for the Florida Department of Transportation District VI internal design <br />office on the production of roadway plans including minor design and major <br />reconstruction projects. During the last two years of his career at FDOT, he worked as <br />District VI Roadway Design Project Manager where he was head of an Internal Design <br />Team working on a large number of milling & resurfacing projects similar to the ones required by this <br />contract. He's working today as the Roadway & infrastructure Task Manager for the Miami Intermodal <br />Center (MIC). He is currently an active member of the Cuban-American Association of Civil Engineers <br />(C-AACE). <br /> <br /> <br />Eithel M. Sierra, P.E. (A&P) Senior Roadway Engineer - Mr. Sierra graduated (Magna <br />Cum Laude) from Florida International University with a Bachelor's degree in Civil <br />Engineering in 1995. He is a Professional Engineer Registered in the State of Florida.. <br />He has over 12 years experience in the design of highway facilities. He dedicated his <br />first three years providing Microstation, GEOP AK, CAICE, and Plans Preparation <br />technical support to Florida, Illinois, and Mississippi Department's of Transportations. <br />He is highly experienced, and is currently working as Senior Project Manager in (urban <br />and rural new construction, total reconstruction and resurfacing, restoration, and <br />rehabilitation (RRR)) projects including Roadway, Signing & Pavement Markings, Signalization, <br />Lighting design and Intelligent Transportation System components. Mr. Sierra is also experienced in <br />Water & Sewer Main design, Right-of-Way plans, intersection layouts, ATMS plans, Specifications, <br />Technical Special Provisions, and Utilities Coordination & Permits. He is certified by FDOT for <br />preparation of Advanced Traffic Control Plans. He has designed and managed several water & sewer <br />projects for Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department and the City of Miami Beach, including pipeline <br />design, Technical Special Provisions, Utilities and Permits Coordination <br /> <br /> <br />Alex Yi, P.E., (A&P) - Senior Civil Engineer - A Civil Engineering Graduate and a <br />Professional Engineer Registered in the State of Florida. Mr. Yi has over eight years of <br />professional experience in the fields of Design and Management of all types of Rural <br />and Urban Roadway Projects. Within the seven years working for FDOT District VI, <br />four were spent as a Professional Engineer Trainee, and two as a Project Engineer at <br />FDOT District VI Internal Design Office. As a Project Engineer, Mr. Yi was in charge <br />of the preparation of all components of a complete Contract Plans Set. These <br />components included: Roadway, Signing and Pavement Marking, Signalization, and <br />Lighting. In 2003, he was appointed to the Department's CADD Roadway Technical Advisory <br />Committee (RT AC) representing District VI. RT AC is a perpetual statewide self-directed work team <br />representing all roadway CADD users of computer systems and programs. Each member provides <br />technical input to the direction of CADD and related production tools in FDOT.
