NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH is seeking qualifications for the following: Request for Qualifications No. 07-08-01 Professional Design Services for the Heritage Park and Parking Garage Notice is hereby given that the City of Sunny Isles Beach is seeking qualified Professional Engineering and/or Architectural Consultants to submit letters of interest and statements of qualifications and experience, including Standard Form 330, to act as the City's Consultants to provide design services for the Heritage Park, including the Parking Garage. Sealed submittals will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at City of Sunny Isles Beach, City Hall located at 18070 Collins Avenue, First Floor Meeting Room, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, 33160. Submittals received after this time will not be accepted. Submittals will be opened publicly and read aloud at this time. A mandatory Pre-Submittal Conference is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, 18070 Collins Avenue, First Floor Meeting Room, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. All consultants planning to submit a submittal are required to attend this meeting. Consultants should allow sufficient time to ensure arrival prior to the indicated time, those arriving after the discussion has begun will not be considered to be in attendance. Submittals from those who have failed to attend will not be accepted. The envelope containing the sealed bid must be clearly marked: "SEALED BID" RFQ # 07-08-01 PROFESSIONAL DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE HERITAGE PARK AND PARKING GARAGE OPENING DATE AND TIME: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10,2007, 10:00 A.M. Parking Garage: The garage must accommodate at least 500 parking spaces meeting minimum City Codes in four (4) levels of parking (including the ground level). Parking will be allowed on the top (open) level. A driveway entrance from Gallahad Dade Boulevard will be required. . The structure's foot print should not exceed one acre and is anticipated to be approximately 125 feet by 350 feet. Park Facilities: The City has applied for a grant through Florida's Community Trust (FCT). Successful vendor should demonstrate a successful track record of having designed and developed outdoor recreation space consistent with FCT requirements. The expected Park amenities may include but are not limited to: 2 Bocce Courts; Toddler Playground; 5-12 Playground; Quarter Mile (minimum) Walking Path; 2 Picnic Pavilions; Picnic Tables; Benches & Trash Receptacles; Potential Splash Pad Playground; Open Play Area; Landscaping; Art Feature Area. Consultant services shall include but not be limited to Project Management; Public Involvement; Public Opinion Surveys; Driveway Design; Signing and Pavement Markings; Drainage; Lighting; Environmental Permitting, including any necessary Mitigation Plans; Utility Coordination; Geotechnical Engineering; Specifications; Post Design Services (Shop Drawing Review and Response to Request for Information); Bid Administration (Selection and Letting); Construction Management and Inspection (CEI); Planning and Layout Proposals;
