An Ordinance of the City Commission ofthe City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br />Chapter 256 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sunny Isles Beach to Authorize the <br />City to Have Towed and to Impound Vehicles Unlawfully Displayed for Sale, Hire, or <br />Rental; Providing for Penalties and Enforcement; Providing for Severability; Providing for <br />Repealer; Providing for Inclusion in the Code; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Attorney Ottinot reported noting that this <br />Ordinance authorizes the City to remove vehicles that are parked in public areas for the <br />purpose of displaying the vehicles for sale. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: None <br /> <br />Mayor Ede1cup asked if this also covers private property, and City Attorney Ottinot said it <br />excludes private property, if they have permission from the property owner, they can display <br />their vehicle. <br /> <br />Commissioner Scholl moved and Vice Mayor Thaler seconded a motion to approve the <br />proposed ordinance on first reading. The motion was approved by a roll call vote of 5- <br />o in favor.
