<br />with turnkey services or guidance and technical assistance to ensure proper preparation and submittal of <br />claims for reimbursement and other available funding. <br /> <br />Our FEMA reimbursement liaison, William Hitchcock, is a professional engineer (P.E.) with five years <br />experience with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a FEMA Project Officer and Inspector. Mr. <br />Hitchcock has supervised and trained personnel on disaster response and relief efforts in New York <br />following 9/11, and on subsequent events including Hurricanes Isabel, Charley, Frances, and Jeanne. <br /> <br />Mr. Hitchcock's thorough experience with writing FEMA project worksheets in all Categories of A through <br />G serves Ceres and our clients well as we respond to FEMA funding requirements as well as <br />requirements of other agencies including the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Mr. Hitchcock is <br />very helpful due to his experience with developing a scope of work that is eligible for federal funding, <br />preparing cost estimates, and other related documentary experience. His experience includes following <br />the project worksheet through with the local government to make certain the funding approvals are <br />followed by timely reimbursement. In addition to Mr. Hitchcock, Ceres has three project managers (John <br />Ulschmid, David Preus, and Earl Lutz) with experience in project worksheet and reimbursement <br />assistance. <br /> <br />Ceres' careful attention to documentation and strict quality control procedures will aid in the acceptance <br />of a claim for reimbursement. A web <br />address shall be instituted so that citizens can log on and view current schedules and planned work <br />locations. Additionally, Ceres shall institute a "Hot Line" for toll-free calls to answer questions and to take <br />requests for "Hot Spot" service for debris removal or other services or complaints. <br /> <br />A series of announcements to citizens may follow this progression of themes: <br /> <br />1 . Segregate your debris by type and place it in the right of way (curbside) <br />2. Work crews have begun debris pickup and will arrive in your neighborhood shortly for the first debris <br />pass <br />3. First pass is nearing completion; place debris on the right of way in preparation for the second pass <br />4. Second pass is underway <br />5. Project is nearing completion, be sure to place debris on right of way <br />6. Debris cleanup will be complete in one week <br />7.
