<br />SECTION 02900 <br />LANDSCAPING <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 RELATED DOCUMENTS: <br /> <br />A. Drawings and proVIsIons of the Contract, including General and Supplementary <br />Conditions and Division-1 Specification sections, apply to Work of this section. <br /> <br />1.02 RELATED WORK <br /> <br />A. Irrigation System - Section 02810. <br />B. Existing Tree Relocation - 02910 <br /> <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> <br />A. Qualifications of Workers: Provide at least one person who shall be present at all times <br />during execution of this portion of the Work, who shall be thoroughly familiar with the <br />type of materials being installed and the best methods for their installation and who shall <br />direct all Work performed under this section. <br /> <br />B. Standards: The following (where applicable) form a part of these specifications: <br /> <br />1. Grades and Standards for Nurserv Plants, Part I and II: Florida State <br />Department of Agriculture (latest edition). <br /> <br />2. Standardized Plant Names: American Joint Committee on Horticultural <br />Nomenclature, latest edition. <br /> <br />3. Hortus: Bailey (latest edition), Second Edition. <br /> <br />4. Exotica: A.B. Graff, Series 3, 9th Edition. <br /> <br />C. Obtain written acceptance from CONSULTANT for any variation from the above or <br />specified requirements before proceeding. <br /> <br />D. All planting materials shall meet or exceed specifications of Federal, State, and County <br />laws requiring inspection for plant disease and insect control. <br /> <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Unit Prices: Within 10 (ten) days after award of Contract, and before any <br />planting materials are delivered to the job site, submit to the Consultant a complete <br />itemized price list of all items proposed to be installed. Consultant reserves right to add <br />or delete materials at unit prices given to adjust lump sum Contract price. Unit prices <br />shall be a breakdown of landscaping Contract price. <br /> <br />1. Claims as to unsuitability or unavailability of any specified materials or species <br />will not be considered unless such claims are made in writing to the Consultant <br />and submitted 10 (ten) days prior to Bid due date.. <br /> <br />PAGE 117 OF 130 <br />BID No. 08-10-01 <br />
