<br />1.5.1 HISTORY OF THE FIRM

<br />MCM is a family-owned company that was established in
<br />Miami, Florida over 25 years ago. The ownership and top
<br />management of the firm is in the hands of the Munilla family
<br />whose construction background dates back to 1940 when
<br />Fernando R. Munilla pioneered construction methodol-
<br />ogy and systems specializing in pre-cast, pre-stressed and
<br />heavy structural construction in Cuba. The powerful fam-
<br />ily bond and ethics instilled by Fernando Munilla Sr. are the
<br />standards that make up today's generation. These corner-
<br />stones, Quality, Integrity and Reliability, are a precondition to
<br />all of MCM's goals.

<br />Our experience includes Commercial, Civil, Educational,
<br />Institutional and Governmental Construction. MCM has ex-
<br />perience in every delivery method from traditional hard bid
<br />projects to Construction Management at Risk and Design
<br />Build deliveries. Being a Design/Builder for over 20 years
<br />makes us especially suited to serve all of our Clients needs.
<br />Having managed both the design and construction of park-
<br />ing garages, schools, fire stations, train stations and many
<br />others we have developed internal review processes to as-
<br />sure the highest quality of construction is achieved at the
<br />best value for the Client. This background, along with our
<br />extremely knowledgeable and resourceful network of Archi-
<br />tects, Engineers and expert Sub-contractors, makes us an
<br />excellent candidate for any project.

<br />In addition to building, garage, and park construction MCM
<br />has performed a wide variety of Civil Work. We have the
<br />advantage of having almost 80% of our work self-performed
<br />for Concrete, Earth & Sitework, Underground Utilities, Road
<br />& Bridge, and have access to a vast fleet of equipment at our
<br />exclusive disposition. Our expert field management and la-
<br />bor force is entirely devoted to deliver projects with the high-
<br />est quality and safety standards, supervising the project's
<br />development from a satellite office installed on-site.

<br />MCM has an exceptional record in developing, project man-
<br />aging and constructing residential and commercial projects
<br />in South Florida. Our experience in urban development and
<br />redevelopment projects range from small housing estates,
<br />to high-rise apartments and large scale mixed use develop-

<br />over 250 projects ranging in a wide variety of commercial, F
<br />institutional, industrial and custom residential experience ~
<br />encompassing both new structures and rehabilitation of his- ~
<br />torical facilities. The gamut of experience ranges from ma- ~
<br />sonry reinforced concrete, steel superstructure and modular ]
<br />construction. Most of the projects required estimating, bid- .~
<br />ding and negotiations in addition to general coordination and ~
<br />supervision; cost estimates; enforcement of quality control; ~
<br />client negotiations and dealings with private or public sector .~
<br />agencies. Fernando will be responsible for providing overall ij
<br />management direction and administration for the project, in- :
<br />c1uding: (1) initiate and maintain liaison with the City of Sun- ~
<br />ny Isles Beach in order to ease construction activities; (2) ~
<br />Monitor/control construction through administrative direction ~
<br />of project manager and superintendents; and (3) Establish ~
<br />project objectives, policies, procedures and performance .
