Section 3 <br />Scope of Services / Technical Specifications <br />3.1 BACKGROUND <br />`TIC -w wt`' 0 <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach has isle d this Request for Proposal for the sole purpose of <br />otBinin g responsive proposals to provide a "Remote Fleet Management System ". <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach maintains a fleet of vehicles by which it helps to provide a wide <br />range of services. These services include for street maintenance, public safety, public <br />transportation, parks and recreation and etc. Servicing our public is the City's utmost priority. As <br />such, having well maintained equipment to respond is critical. <br />Currently the City does not have a system in place that monitors <br />• Ignition Report <br />• Speed Alerts <br />• View Start /Stop reports <br />• Monitor Engine Hour runtime <br />• Excessive Idle Alerts <br />• Maintenance Management <br />• Real -Time Location <br />• Route Finder <br />• Historical Route Tracking <br />As a result, there are cases when necessary equipment cannot be used because repairs must be <br />made. In addition, due to fuel prices increasing, the City is seeking opportunities to better <br />monitor usage and find op ortunities to save cost. There is a strong desire to utilize a more <br />dynamic system that would incorporate real -time data on vehicles. This would serve as the basis <br />for better management of the City's field operations as well as providing highly useful dynamic <br />information to the City. <br />3.1.1 CITY FLEET <br />The City currently maintains a fleet of approximately 120 vehicles including Motorcycles, <br />buses, and automobiles, Trucks, ATVs and Boats. The quantities provided are an <br />estimate and the City reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantities of vehicles <br />serviced. <br />3.2 SCOPE OF WORK <br />Implement a REMOTE/ Fleet management system for an estimated 120 City vehicles. The system <br />shall have the ability to display, in real -time, the current vehicle statistics through a website. <br />The REMOTE system shall be able to integrate with the vehicles computer system to will allow for <br />real -time data retrieval.
