The project has been divided into 12 design sections. Section 5 is the design section <br />for the Palmetto Expressway / Dolphin Expressway (SR 836) Interchange (See Figure 1). This interchange will be <br />reconstructed to accommodate fully directional interchange movements for not only the two primary roadways, but <br />also a collector-distributor system. This will be one of the biggest and most important interchanges in Miami-Dade <br />County. <br /> <br />APCTE was tasked as the Drainage Designer of record for this Design-Build Project. Responsible for producing Drainage <br />Master Plan, drainage plans, drainage structure sheets and details, storm water management reports and stormwater <br />modeling for the entire interchange reconstruction. This project includes more than 600 drainage structures. APCTE <br />was also responsible for preparing Bridge Hydraulic Reports for the North Line Canal, Venetian Canal, and Airport <br />Canal. Also in charge of preparation of lighting plans, calculations, and reports, utility coordination, and relocation of <br />water main, gravity sewer, and force main pipelines.
