PAGE 2/2 <br /> <br />QA/QC <br /> <br />LUMMUS NEIGHBORHOOD- 7TH AND 8TH STREETSCAPE 1M. <br />PROVEMENTS CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA <br />Client: City of Miami Beach (Reynaldo Abreu, Project Manager) <br />Project consisted of Milling & Resurfacing, signing and pavement <br />markings, street lighting and aesthetic enhancement (plating of Co- <br />conut Palms in sidewalk). All improvements fell under ADA and <br />MOT compliance. The project also consisted of the removal and <br />replacement of existing curb & gutter and sidewalk between 11 th <br />St. and 16th St. was done. The project also included improving the <br />water main and drainage in the Lummus Neighbourhood for 7th and <br />8th Street. Storm water pipe upsizing and drainage was incorpo- <br />rated to the drainage improvements. Design started in February <br />2007 and ended in August 2008. <br /> <br />NAUTILUS NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENTS CITY OF MIAMI <br />BEACH, FLORIDA <br />Client: City of Miami Beach (Jorge Chartrand, P.E., Project Man- <br />ager (305) 673-7071). The Nautilus Neighborhood includes the <br />area from Surprise Lake, south to the south end of the 41 st Street <br />right-of-way, and from Biscayne Bay east to the Indian Creek wa- <br />terway, including the Orchard Park sub-neighborhood. The area is <br />generally comprised of single-family residential streets with some <br />pockets of multi-family uses. Institutions in the area include Mount <br />Sinai Medical Center, Miami Heart Institute, Nautilus Middle School, <br />and North Beach Elementary School. Arthur Godfrey Road (41 st <br />Street), a State roadway, is a major commercial corridor to the <br />southern border of the neighborhood. Alton Road is a state minor <br />arterial on the west side, and Pine Tree Drive is a County collector <br />road along the east side of the neighborhood. Project included <br />Milling and Resurfacing, new drainage, new water main system <br />betterment, and decorative lighting. This is a design-build project <br />partnered with RICMAN International Construction, Estimated Proj- <br />ect Construction Cost is $37.7 million. <br /> <br />CITY OF MIAMI DOWNTOWN STREETSCAPE IMPROVE. <br />MENTS . CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA <br />Client: City of Miami (David Mendez, P.E., Project Manager (305) <br />416-1240). Principal-in-Charge / Quality Control/Quality Assur- <br /> <br />ance for the preparation of Contract Plans for the Downtown <br />Streetscape Improvements. Project limits are: NW / NE 1st, 2nd, and <br />3rd Street from SW 1st Ave. to SR 5/ Biscayne Blvd.; SW / SE 1st and <br />2nd Street from SW 1st Ave. to SR 5/ Biscayne Blvd; and SW 1st <br />Ave, Miami Ave, NE 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Avenue from SW / SE 2nd Street <br />to NW / NE 3rd Street. Project included Milling and Resurfacing, <br />new colored sidewalk, decorative lighting system, street furniture, <br />stamped asphalt pedestrian crosswalks, and signing and pavement <br />markings. Utility Coordination was a major milestone in this project. <br />Estimated Project Construction Cost is $7.5 million. <br /> <br />N.w. 37TH AVENUE. MIAMI.DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Client: M-D PWD (Raul Quintela, P.E., Project Manager (305) 375- <br />3971), Principal-in-Charge / Quality Control/Quality Assurance for <br />the preparation of Contract Plans of the total reconstruction of a <br />2.72 mile segment of NW 37th Avenue from NW N. River Drive to <br />NW 79th Street. Project includes new drainage, signalization, light- <br />ing, signing and pavement marking design and compliance with <br />ADA requirements. Special emphasis was given to the Traffic Con- <br />trol Plans to provide pedestrian access to local businesses and <br />major relocation coordination with Florida Power and Light and <br />Florida City Gas. Estimated Project Construction Cost is $22.0 mil- <br />lion. <br /> <br />CITY OF MIAMI STREETCAR MASTER PLAN <br />Client: City of Miami (Leo Villalobos, Project Manager (305) 416- <br />1073. Preparation of a "Utility Master Plan" for the City of Miami <br />Streetcar Corridor. The proposed 9.00 mile streetcar service would <br />provide and improve transit connections between downtown Miami <br />and the redeveloping areas of Wynwood / Edgewater, midtown <br />Miami, the Design District and the Buena Vista East Historical Dis- <br />trict. Although the proposed streetcar system is expected to use a <br />shallow trackbed construction method that would minimize utility <br />impacts, it is assumed that any utility running longitudinally under- <br />neath the trackbed would require relocation, Design started in May <br />2006 and ended in February 2008. <br /> <br /> <br />CIVIL ENGINEERING SERVICES TO DESIGN STREIT AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS . <br />
