PAGE 1/2 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />QA/QC <br /> <br />Mr. GiI-Mera brings over 25 years of experience in the Design of Highway Facilities. <br />He spent the first foutheen years of his career working for the Florida Department of <br />Transportation (FOOT) District VI internal design office on the production of roadway <br />plans including minor design and major reconstruction projects. During the last two <br />years of his career at FOOT, he worked as District VI Roadway Design Project Manager <br />where he was head of an Internal Design Team working on a large number of milling and <br />resurfacing and reconstruction projects. As one of the principals of A&P, Mr. GiI-Mera has <br />designed and managed numerous Transportation Projects for Governmental and Private <br />Clients. Mr. Gil-Mera is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. <br />The Florida Engineering Society and the Cuban-American Association of Civil <br />Engineers, where he currently holds the President Position. He is a 1986 graduate of <br />Florida International University with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. <br /> <br />KEY PROJECTS <br /> <br />WASHINGTON AVENUE DESIGN-BUILT PROJECT - PHASE II, IV AND V, MIAMI <br />BEACH, FLORIDA <br />Client: City of Miami Beach (Charles Carreno, P.E. (305) 796-4280), Engineer of Record <br />and Project Manager for this 1.3 mile design/build project. Responsibilities included the <br />design of a new curblgutter and sidewalk, road reconstruction, milling and resurfacing, <br />street lighting design and signing and markings, water main distribution mains, sanitary <br />sewer pipe/manhole up sizing, and storm water gravity wells system. Design started in <br />April 2004 and ended in May 2006. <br /> <br />MIAMIINTERMODAL CENTER (MIC), MIAMI.DADE COUNTY, FL. <br />Client: FDOT District VI (Gary Donn, P.E. (305) 470-5145). Responsible for the devel- <br />opment of the Utility Master Plan for the MIC Program as well as the preparation of Util- <br />ity Relocation Schedules, Reimbursable Agreements with utility companies, Utility Clear <br />Packages and Utility Design by FDOT Consultant Agreements (JPA's) for all the MIC <br />Roadway Projects, <br /> <br />NW 14TH STREET RECONSTRUCTION, MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Client: FDOT District VI (Elsa Riverol, P.E. (305) 470-5301). Engineer of Record for the <br />total reconstruction of NW 14th Street approximately 0.6 miles from NW 42nd Court to NW <br />34th Avenue. This project included the preparation of Roadway Plans, Drainage im- <br />provements, including a Pump Station, Signalization, Lighting and Signing and Pave- <br />ment Markings and Intelligent Transportation System (I.T.S) Plans.
