<br />e.t:' <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />....A <br /> <br />EDWARD DUGGER + ASSOCIATES, P.A. <br /> <br />Consultants in Architectural Acoustics <br />Mechanical Noise Control and <br />Audio/Video/IT Systems <br /> <br />broadcast facilities, amphitheatres, and places of worship throughout the United <br />States and abroad. <br /> <br />He has worked with Architects, Musicians, Faculty Members, Executive Directors, <br />Technical Directors, and Project Managers to develop criteria narratives, architectural <br />programs, specialized drawings and specifications. He has designed acoustic, <br />mechanical noise control devices, and audio/video systems. <br /> <br />Prior to establishing his own consulting firm, Edward Dugger + Associates PA, <br />(ED+A) he was a Senior Consultant with the international acoustical consulting firm of <br />Kirkegaard Associates. <br /> <br />Additionally, Mr. Dugger was a staff architect for the Zeidler Roberts Partnership in <br />Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He served as the design team Project Director on the <br />2,200-seat Raymond F. Kravis Center in Palm Beach County, Florida, from project <br />inception to project completion with a full-time presence on site during construction. <br /> <br />Consultant, Emily Garber <br /> <br />Ms. Garber received her Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of <br />Florida in 2009 and her Master of Architecture degree with a focus in Acoustics from <br />Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2011. While at Virginia Tech she <br />received a Student Initiated Research Grant to participate in the 2010 Concert Hall <br />Research Group in Santa Fe, NM. She also received the Robert Bradford Newman <br />Medal for Excellence in the Study of Acoustics and its Application to Architecture for <br />her thesis "Chamber Hall Threshold Design and Acoustic Surface Shaping with <br />Parametric Modeling", exploring 3D architectural modeling techniques as applied to <br />acoustic predictions. <br /> <br />While at Edward Dugger + Associates she has prepared acoustical calculations, <br />CAD/REVIT working drawings, and sketches on a wide variety of acoustic projects. <br /> <br />4. Approach / Methodology <br /> <br />Measurement <br /> <br />We measure and analyze the acoustical properties within and outside the built <br />environment. Loud, excessive noise has a not-so-subtle way of invading our daily <br />lives. As can be expected the sources vary, but we can ensure that unwanted sounds <br />are minimized and appropriate levels of noise are maintained within their <br />environments.
