Approach and methodology (cont.)

r)

Task 3 Construction
A very important aspect of a high quality project is the Construction
Administration Phase. We believe that a quality set of documents is only as
good as the quality of the construction administration. For that reason we
always take a proactive approach in the Construction Phase and routinely
provide the following services during construction.

1. Construction Coordination meetings and meeting minutes
2. Site Visits and reports for Architect and Engineers
3. Thorough review of Submittals
4. Quick responses to RFI's
5. Pro-active in resolving construction issues
6. Thorough review of pay requests
7. Adherence to Schedule

)

Task 4 Close Out
1. Through Substantial Completion inspection with all parties.
2. Award Substantial Completion when it has been achieved not before.
3. Provide detailed punchlist and deadline to complete the items.
4. Thorough review of Close out Documents (ie Warranties, As-builts etc.)
5. Release of Retainage upon final completion of Project

Quality Control

One of our firms most important achievements during our 22 years in business is high quality
performance as demonstrated by our repeat work. Quality Control is key component to
performance. Quality Control has to start at the time the project is awarded and has to continue
until the project obtains final completion. Our procedures to minimize errors/omissions consist of
a very detail checklist and establish work plan to confirm that all requirements of the Program,
Professional Industry Standards, Project and Code requirements are met throughout all phases of
the project. We have scheduled design coordination meetings with our consultants at each phase
of the design. We also have a peer review/ coordination process with the other design principals
of the firm in order to produce a coordinated set of documents and to minimize any
errors/omissions. Quality control is also a key during the construction phase and our strong team
of Project Managers are trained to make sure that the standards, codes and project requirements
are met during the final Construction phase. We believe in a very hands on approach to the
Construction Administration Phase. Weare very thorough in our review of shop drawings, RFI
Pay reqs, schedules and correspondences. We establish a schedule for construction meetings and
site visits and prepare both meeting minutes and site visit reports to document all activities. Any
successful project starts with an experience and committed professional staff, consultants, work

LAURA M.
